Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.
Wasps are nothing,I like watching people get in a flap when a little stripy b*stard starts buzzing around them, wasp stings don’t even hurt,I’ve been stung by wasps on multiple occasions-not painful and I’m not even that tough.

Wasps are responsible for 8k deaths a day in Europe.
Hornets have been known to fly off carrying a small child.
A sting from a hornet is akin to being stabbed with a rusty swiss army knife.
Weather forecasters who say things like "Temperatures today will be a wonderful thirty five degrees". How about you tell me the forecast and let me decide if I like it.
Picking 5 winners and 2 runner ups in the ITV7. Thought that was as close as I`d get to winning the jackpot, then had a look at the results and saw there were FORTY winners who picked all 7.
Imagine picking the 7 , and then finding out there were 40 other winners.
Not sure if the tie break question gave someone the jackpot.
Ah well, there`s always tomorrow.

Hornets are actually not aggressive creatures. It has been noted by some researchers that hornets are shy, peaceful creatures. They tend to avoid conflict and only attack when they absolutely have to. They do however love to eat bees. The Japanese Honey Bee has developed a method of self defence whereby they swarm a hornet scout before it can release it's pheromones alerting other hornets of a honey bee nest and vibrate their bodies roasting the hornet alive. The evil ****ers.
Oh yeah, the Japanese eat them as a delicacy and make their lavae into an energy drink. The evil ****ers.

What's impressive as well is that the temperature that the bee can withstand is only a degree or two above the hornet.

That's some fine evolution there.
I wonder how long it will take before either Hornets withstand that exposure to high temperature or bees can't generate that kind of heat due to dwindling numbers?
