Was trying to create some alert rules earlier and it kept failing. After digging, I realised their webapp doesn’t work in chrome properly so had to use Edge instead. CRAP.Burnley Hammer wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 5:03 pm Microsoft Azure (again)
It should be renamed Azure beta.

It’s a funny bugger is Azure. You can run the same script 10 times, works fine for 9 and on the tenth decides it doesn’t support/recognise something.Burnley Hammer wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 5:03 pm Microsoft Azure (again)

As for not working properly in chrome, MS product not working properly in non-MS browser, a tale as old as time.

Amazon really have got cloud computing sussed but the cost is pretty prohibitive. Microsoft will always be Microsoft, great ideas but piss poor execution.

I think it's the word that they don't more understand (sorry for the clumsy words!), although maybe you're right & they don't use the hand signal much either. To them it seems to be not much of an insult. Perhaps the word's too 'English' for them?southbrishammer wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 7:56 am I didn't think Americans understood that hand signal anyway. Aren't you wasting your time regardless of which hand you use?
Alternatively just shout "w@nker" out the window at them.
Have you seen 'The Simpsons' episode with U2? Every now & again, Mr Burns says w@nker including right after the end credits, supposedly copying the band's language. When I saw that episode the really funny thing was that someone on C4 had allowed it to be aired at 6pm..

OVHcloud are a decent alternative. Largely the same functionality, 40% lower cost.Greatest Cockney Rip Off wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 9:26 pm Amazon really have got cloud computing sussed but the cost is pretty prohibitive. Microsoft will always be Microsoft, great ideas but piss poor execution.

I’m on a corporate away day for the next 24 hours. I’ve flayed myself for the last 9 months to make rich people even richer and am not in the mood to make merry with them, but it is expected of me.

Tesco's new super-duper hand scanners - now new and improved with *pictures of the thing you're scanning* wow!
What utter turd-weasel came up with this idea? I know what I'm buying - it's in my hand, I don't need to see a ****ing picture of it.
And they're so sloooow. I get back to my trolley with an armful of shopping : press... press... press...press... beep [picture]....press.. press...press.presss... wait... wait... beep [picture]... I've got 10 of the same ****ing thing here and I'm going through this idiot rignorole for every one of them, and it doesn't even cache the sodding picture, it goes away and fetches it each time!

Just went to a garden centre to look at garden furniture. Wasn’t expecting to need to take out a second mortgage to buy a table and some benches.

Getting a 'you've won a prize' email from the Lottery, but not being in the UK to check it. A week later as soon as I'm off the plane I log in to check my winnings. a FIVER. FFS.

Anyone who checks those emails straight away is a masochist.Cockneyboy311 wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 1:43 pm Getting a 'you've won a prize' email from the Lottery, but not being in the UK to check it. A week later as soon as I'm off the plane I log in to check my winnings. a FIVER. FFS.

It's a bit like The Omaze email..........
ARE YOU THE WINNER OF THE £3 MILLION POUND HOUSE!!!!!!!
I doubt it very much guys as I would like to think if I'd won, you would be contacting me direct. Not through a generic email.
