Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

People braking with nothing in front of them
Yes, this totally baffles me too.
Braking on motorways ought to be confined to real emergency. The amount of people who go downhill, slightly increasing speed, on a motorway, and press their brakes is unreal.

We were in an Espace-style taxi from central Rome to Fumicino airport. The driver, as you rightly say, was driving at 150kph a metre from the bumper of the car in front. He had a mobile phone in each hand, and was steering with his knees.
…and another for driving in Italy, it is totally crackers!! Got back from Sicily about a month ago and it seems to me that lines in the road are there just for decoration, and why pull out fully to the adjacent lane when overtaking if you don’t have to.
A few years back I was first car at the lights in a queue of traffic when they changed to green - not having the driving reflexes of Lewis Hamilton, it took me a shade more than 3 nano-seconds to pull away. You’d have thought I’d turned the engine off and got out for a picnic - almost immediately, every car behind me wanted to wear out their car horns!!
However …. driving in Italy is a breeze compared to Vietnam!!!
…. Oh, and driving in Montenegro is dicey too. Being overtaken by a 30 year old Lada when going up a single track mountain road with 27 hairpin bends!!

Beeps.
Everything in my house ****ing beeps.
The stove, the microwave, the fridge, the clothes rack, even the milk frother.
Get off my ****ing back, you bastards.
That I still get wound up when people call me a "nerd" for playing Warhammer.
I love it. The best Fantasy/Sci-Fi setting that has ever been created. I find a game at the weekend or an evening after work is great for stress relief. Maybe it is their problem, not mine? I thought "nerd" was the new "cool" these days.

When you are stopped in traffic and you politely wave someone out who are trying to come out of a side road or petrol station etc..
And they glare at you and drive away, no hand gesture to say thanks not even a smile, nothing.

On my motorbike on the new A13 some years ago, open road with no speed cameras on it any more at that stretch, so going fairly fast behind a car, hoping they'll soon see me & change lanes, instead of making me undertake them.
The c*nt suddenly sees the old white lines across the road at the last second (where there USED to be a camera) & slams their brakes on, nearly twatting me in the process.
As if sharply breaking as they went over the lines, would have stopped them getting a speeding ticket, anyway.
Obviously hadn't a f*cking clue about anything outside of their car.

 Have you considered that you might be dying, Dan?..
Sister's recently found 2 of them f*ckers in her house..
Dying of shame for having wasted my incredibly busy GP's time, when he could have been practising his putting.

I killed one of those bastards just yesterday. I’ve got your back, Dan, but it won’t be enough to prevent amputation.
They love an outside meter box.
Not so keen on a blowtorch though.
Absolute twatsticks that go to join a 70mph dual carriage way, and instead of accelerating off of the slip road to feet in to the flow of traffic, brake.
As well as the bog-standard 50mph twatsticks in lane 2/3 on a 3/4 lane road, completely oblivious. Usually brown skinned, in a Prius (other leased hybrids are available), with a TfL roundel of death in the rear window...

So if your motoring along the motorway and realise you're doing 90mph, I think you're more than likely to tap the brakes.
