QI last night had a bit about phrases translated into different languages, one of the examples was Johnny Marr in French = ‘I am fed up’ - j’en ai marre.

Realising that the guy who had the house before me had the foresight to place the loo roll holder approx 6 inches above a radiator.

That's very sweet, PF.PF. wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 9:08 am My wife was up early with my son this morning and I heard my bedroom door open about 5.45am. I hear the little feet and then feel my 7-year old daughter climb in bed and snuggle close.
I’m so very grateful for these moments and I’m a very lucky man to experience such love.

Opened the bedroom curtains this morning and there was a bullfinch on my shrubs a totally beautiful pink and black bird. Very Cheerful on a gloomy day .

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Coincidence, this morning Ispent 10 mins watching a pair of dippers not 12ft away from me on the brook running through town. When the morning rush was over(lasts about 2 mins!) I heard them calling to each other(not many are lucky enough to hear the call of the dipper).rigoberts song wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 6:39 pm Opened the bedroom curtains this morning and there was a bullfinch on my shrubs a totally beautiful pink and black bird. Would like your soup recipe, if you can be bothered to post it (or a link)?
