A Polish guy at work.

He was telling us how his brothers girlfriend had been offered a job at our workplace, handed her notice in at her current work and was left waiting two weeks for her new contract. The
contract said her wages would be £5k less than verbally agreed.

He was clearly angry and worked up when telling us this. So much so that he declared he didn't want to work here any more because it is worse than Auschwitz.

BBC apoligises for Manchester United caption (with video)
The BBC has apologised after a message appeared on the news channel saying "Manchester United are rubbish".

The text mistakenly popped up on the news ticker at the bottom of the screen during a tennis update just after 0930 on Tuesday.

Later in the morning, presenter Annita Mcveigh apologised to any Manchester United fans who may have been offended.

She said the mistake had occurred as someone was learning how to operate the ticker and was "writing random things".

Another message which appeared on the ticker read simply: "Weather rain everywhere."

Mcveigh told viewers: "A little earlier, some of you may have noticed something pretty unusual on the ticker that runs along the bottom of the screen with news making a comment about Manchester United, and I hope that Manchester United fans weren't offended by it.

I met Baroness Floella and her husband, Keith at at fundraiser for Barnardo’s. One of the many charities she supports. I can honestly say that my life was enriched for meeting her. A wonderful human being. The world would be a better place with more people like her in it.

I had a day working on Saturday kitchen live today.

Apart from the silly early start, the food that gets cooked is then given to the crew (rehearsals and live) afterwards. All very nice and needless to say, I didn't need any lunch.

Did something today I haven't done since I was 12 today. We had strawberrys in the fridge, so I nipped over to Arkwrights to get some evaporated milk and poured it on. Heaven.
