Having one of those days where everything just comes together. Had an appointment at UCLH Westmoreland Street this morning - so crashed at a mates in Elm Park last night, and travelled from there. Was due a catch-up and it saved me over £50 too.

Get to the platform at Elm Park, and the train was just pulling in. Get to Mile End, and the Central Line train was there. A nice stroll from Bond Street to Westmoreland Street, and I was an hour early for my appointment. The desk told me to go up anyway, and when I got to pre-assessment, a voice says 'Mr DL?" and I went straight in and was done in 20 minutes. Had to go to phlebotomy, got there, and went straight in. Then went down to the basement for my CT, nobody else there, and went straight in.

I left the hospital at 1159, one minute before my first appointment time.

Walk back to Bond Street, and decided I'd get the Jubilee Line to West Ham rather than the central line - get to the platform just as the train is opening its doors. Get to West Ham, walk to the District Line platform, as yep, train arrived just as I got to the platform.

Went back to my mates, had a quick coffee, jumped in my car and had a clear run back to Medway, only getting caught at the lights at the bottom of South End Road and Rainham Road. Even had a full green light run at Mardyke Interchange on to M25.

Lovely.

Celebrated with a big lunch, lots of booze and some of that magnificent cognac. We’re on Ile de Re now. My word, the bronzed crumpet round here 👍

Reading the comments on a for sale post on Facebook, where some bint is selling 12 unused packs of Pampers - unused and unopened - stocked up on them during covid when there was a shortage - with the predictable pile on with comments like there wouldn't have been a shortage if people like you hadn't bought so many. I bet you've got loads of bog roll too.

That alone didn't make me smile as much as the fact one of her other listings is for bundles of cheap bog-roll...

Bought, from the National Trust shop at Avebury. I enjoy cooking, but I couldn't be bothered making jam.
