Would like your soup recipe, if you can be bothered to post it (or a link)?
500g butternut squash - cubed - I've also used half sweet potato and half squash
100g chorizo - cubed
1 red onion - diced
1 garlic clove - diced
600ml vegetable stock
1 red chilli
salt and pepper to taste

I use a soup maker - but it's easy to do on the stove I guess.
Sweat onions and garlic, then add the chorizo just to seal it off.
Then add everything else and simmer until butternut squash is tender and blitz - makes 4 portions :newthumb:

Yesterday at around 3 pm I discovered water gushing out of the bottom of our dishwasher door - we were only at home cause our planned walk had been cancelled due to rain otherwise we'd have come back to a flooded kitchen and lounge .

I emptied it out , cleaned it as much as possible , did a re-set and switched it on - same results , problem with the drainage - it was second hand when we ought it over 6 years back , I'd fixed it once and got it going again but this time there was nothing obvious .

I did a search for used Bosch Dishwashers , nearest one was at Nairn over 100 miles away - Jen said ' I'll get a new one from Argos ' .

This morning I unscrewed the two pipes and got the dishwasher on its side thinking I'd take the panels off but I couldn't remember how I'd done it before so gave up - I did fart about cleaning it again then screwed the pipes back on . I stuck some dirty crockery in it and gave it one more go before taking it to the dump - the water light came on but I did another re-set and switched it back on .

My perseverance paid off - it's working fine again . :coolas:

Driving up to Sudbury from Basildon tonight to watch Canvey Island, my non league team, in action. Saw them at home a few weeks back where they won 5-1 with one of the best goals I've ever seen live, and now they just won 3-0. Nice drive with tunes playing, watching some proper no nonsense football up close and personal and then a lovely cruise control job back down the A130, superb and cheap, parking on site, no stop go signs etc. :newthumb:

Or....
[as mentioned elsewhere..]

Me and Ted rush from GPsurgery (minor op for him) straight to Hereford(needn't have bothered KO delayed 15 mins :fsake:) Freezing cold night, so foggy can't see a third of the ground, view obscured, anyway, in all directions by Soviet bloc architecture( a third of the ground actually closed and filled with demolition debris :(), watch 2 teams that both play abysmally
despite a crowd of 2,300 (500 travelling) Pathetic refereeing, 2 paper cups of hot chocolaty water and a Mars bar sets me back 6and a half quid, etc, etc,
Yeah, I love non league...!

Without the dishwasher drying cycle, how on earth do you dry out your ball-gags and dildos?

I spent Saturday morning comparing some of my utility bills.

Took a few hours but managed to reduce what I could and saved myself about £60 a month

Home and contents down from £55 to £35

Car Insurance down from £360 to £320

Now looking at the mortgage as it’s due for renewal in a few months time.

All with the same or better cover.

Made me happy for a few hours. Worth putting in a few hours graft to switch.

Using compare the market site and got myself some free cinema tickets and food discounts.

Unfortunately the gas and electric have gone north and not able to get any offers at the moment but with savings I made it’s cushioned the blow of that bill doubling!

Went to Old Trafford for my 4th away game this season and saw unsavoury scenes, again, now unsavoury scenes at all 4 away games ive done. Had enough. Canvey away again tonight, Tuesday night and going to be standing with the lot who sing all game, crowd mixed, no issues, roll on tonight, done with going to PL games I think. Smiling at the prospect of it.
