In this age of prices going up, getting my car insurance renewal arrive in my inbox for a lower price than last year, then compare the market coming out even cheaper than that. It was only 13 quid, but nonetheless, still cheaper.

Mine dropped this year as well, I think it is something to do with less claims over the last couple of years due to lockdowns and the rise of wfh.

Like Jonah I also stayed with my current provider for probably the first time ever, maybe they have worked it out (but I doubt it)

The FCA recently changed the regulations so these firms have to give existing customers a renewal quote that is in line with what a new customer would be offered for the same terms.

Mine went down too, with my renewal quote being the cheapest I could find. Felt strange.

I'm not sure if the rules have expanded to all insurance companies (life, house, etc.) but the focus was on motor insurance from what I read.

My wife has taken the two kids away on a little cottage holiday for the week, with her mum.

I get the house to myself for the first time in about 6 years, until Friday afternoon.

Already finished working from home (about an hour earlier than usual) and catching up with Better Call Saul. I was (what I thought) toward the beginning of season 4, made it to the last episode then realised I've watched it before! It had been so long.

Heard rumours he used to stand in the pullum run but eye witness accounts are thin on the ground.
