Re: Little things in life that make you smile
My daughter smashing her exam results today.
She put in a load of effort, studied far harder than I did at her age, so well pleased she got back what she put in.

A reference to Faith No More in this month's Viz. My favourite band featured in my favourite newspaper - marvellous!

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
One of the front parking sensors on my wife’s car got dislodged and was stuck inside the bumper. Several garages quoted between £100 and £250 to remove the bumper and reseat it. Used my £5. Aldi hot glue gun to attach a cocktail stick to the sensor and pulled it straight back into position, then peeled off the glue.

Dr. V,
In an ideal world, all transportees would end up like Magwitch did.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Doing my first ever photoshoot yesterday, where the rather lovely female model ended up in her birthday suit. It was very tasteful, and by the time I'd edited them, I can honestly say it is right up there with the best work I've ever done - if not the best.
I suppose this next bit should go in the irritate you thread, but the downside is, under no circumstances do I have permission to share them for my 'promotional' purposes.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Years ago when I worked in the reprographic industry, I remember a scud photographer visiting the demo facility I operated, to test one of the high end scanners we sold. He rocked up with a case containing at least 2000 grot photos and we spent around 4 hours meticulously scanning a large number of them, for him to fully analyse how well they were captured. He was a proper perfectionist, and requested all sorts of edits before he was convinced he was making the right purchase.-DL- wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:43 am Doing my first ever photoshoot yesterday, where the rather lovely female model ended up in her birthday suit. I'll never forget, to my dying day, the attention he paid to the "business end" of the photos. "****hole needs to be browner" was one particular request he made.

Although she was in the buff, it wasn't full legs akimbo jobbie - the finished images didn't really show anything - arms positioned to cover chest, no minge shots - but of course, the eyefuls when changing position were certainly a sight to behold.
It was actually a much more pleasant and comfortable experience than I thought it would be. It did help that we arranged to meet in a pub on Saturday night for a few hours to talk shop, have a laugh and a joke and build up a rapport. It can't be underestimated how important a pre-shoot meeting is, no matter what type of shoot it is.
