Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Dogs. Love em.
When they're walking down the street intent on getting somewhere fast.
When you're stroking or scratching them and you stop then they put a paw on your arm to say 'keep doing that'.
When they think a treat is in the offing and they do their very best good boy/girl sit.
When they want something (a pee, a walk, some food etc) and they sit or stand in front of you staring at you with a serious expression on their faces.

My lad's still got a silly grin on his face, pretty much bonkers wasn't it,

We've got three, a pug, a Jack Russell and a little old mongrel who's my best mate. They're all proper characters.Pete647580 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 5:24 pm Dogs. Love em.

It really was a pleasure to listen to you all on TV … I’m going to replay the game just to listen to the wonderful West Ham travelling choir.

What a song, one of their hidden gems. Absolutely love it.

I write for Welsh football fanzines. It’s also unpaid but you never know what it might lead to.WHU Independent wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 1:11 am Oh and having an article I worte printed in a US based gaming mag. I won't get paid, but it puts my name back in the frame and is great to add to my portfolio.
Great seeing your work in print.

I’m out on the piss in Stockholm tonight and not one Swede has had to be shown where I’m from originally (Wales.) In Berlin a few years back, I’m convinced the barman walked away thinking I’d made the place up.

Being accused of being a Spurs fan.
Just because I knew why half the spurs team had sponsors on their shirts and the other half didn't in the 1987 cup final.

You’d find me in numerous kebab shops when I ate meat but that’s about as close to being a Turk as I ever got.
Remember, numerous KUMBers still think I’m from Manchester. I’m not.

An unexpectedly comfortable run yesterday, followed by a new PB in the pool today. Still miles off where I want to be but starting to feel like the framework is there to build something.

Gunna echo the above post about Dogs.
Our two Papillons are like chalk and cheese in terms of personality; Mr Pickle is 13 and the most chilled out Dog I have ever known. Whereas, Billy (who is 5) I swear has some sort of ADHD.
Taking them out for big long 2 hour walks during the start of lockdown kept me sane.
