Whole different ball game mate...Love London, very proud to be a Londoner, but unfortunately and I'm sad to to say,if I need the help of
complete strangers,in an incident like I had,put me up north for it,pref past Manchester ..all day long.

Just my opinion, but the difference in attitude to strangers either side of say Stoke is very noticeable.
Don't just mean London either,South in General is not as friendly as North.

You'd be surprised mate. I've seen scenarios in London from complete strangers that would surprise you. I get what you're saying but London isn't completely hostile.

Getting my brakes sorted and car serviced as promised yesterday.

Then getting slaughtered on Facebook by my mates because I've spotted a new shape Nissan Micra in bright orange that's fully loaded with kit and actually being sorely tempted by it.

It's a funky little car, and we've already got a big full sized beast in the family, and we don't need two so I want to downsize mine - and it's kinda different to the bog standard Fiestas, Corsas, etc and it proper surprised me how nice it was when I drove it.

But they have a point. It's a Nissan Micra.

Look past the badges though, and I really quite like it. :arry:

Nah mate get that...you see individual acts of kindness all over the country, but really think in general, and wasn't singling London out,
people tend to be friendlier up North than in the South..
Doesn't mean I'd be happy breaking down in some parts of Manchester..I'd def be on me toes there...

Maybe a city thing as well,City Folk all 100 miles an hour with no time, get in the suburbs etc, people bit more relaxed.

You'd be lucky to do ten miles an hour in London, never mind a hundred

My Missus said to me yesterday "My aunt & uncle are going on a cruise from Rome to Turkey"

I replied "Nice, they'll probably be going to the Aegean Sea. Beautiful area"

There was a few moments silence before she said....

"What does A, G & C stand for?"

This could well end up in the irritate thread if it interferes with my TV viewing.
Last spring, I kept on finding small piles of twigs on our deck … it was a couple of wood pigeons unsuccessfully trying to build a nest in the satellite bracket. A few weeks ago, I saw a couple trying to do the same … not sure if it was the same pair though!!

I get a rare visit from the daughter upstairs. Spurs v Burnley game is on. ‘Why is he waving his arms around like a Italian?’ She asks. It was Conte on the screen :)
