The other day I popped into the local newsagent for a bag of crisps. The bloke in there palmed me off with a jock fiver in my change.

I went back in there today and bought some brown sauce to go with my lunch and handed him back said fiver.

"We dont take Scottish notes" he says.

I laughed at him and said "You're joking right? You're the one who gave it to me the other day!"

He took it in the end. :D

For some reason, ToMoS keeps offering me his nuts.

I'm not sure whether to be pleased that he wants to share them, or be very scared...

I'm currently watching the Apprentice and cant help smiling at the Male teams project leader.
He is the spitting image of Clyde Best circa 1972

The Baroness should ask him if he can play football

Mrs Sendo teaching shapes to Sendo Jr #2 (aged 5) tonight.

SJ2: "My pencil has 6 sides."
MrsS: "What shape has 6 sides?"
SJ2: "A hexagon."
MrsS: "Very good. What about 5 sides?"
SJ2: "A pentagon"
MrsS: "Well done! What about a shape with 8 sides?"
SJ2: "Errrm. I dunno"
MrsS: "That's an Octagon"
SJ2: "Oh. What shape has one side"
MrsS: "There aren't any shapes that only have one side, silly."
SJ2: "Yes there is, it's a circle!"
MrsS: ".........."
Me:

There’s nothing quite like joy you get when your kids outwit their mum.

Well this has taken a strange turn. I would never have thought you'd get a bus up there as you don't seem particularly big built...

Can you imagine even contemplating logging on under 2 different usernames right now.

Indeed.

May I also add - Please put Devonshire back up as your avatar. It's just weird without it.

I learnt a new word today. The project manager for a job I'm on said that the project wasn't 'elemenopy'.

What?

"Elemenopy. It means that one part follows another. L M N O P."

My wife was up early with my son this morning and I heard my bedroom door open about 5.45am. I hear the little feet and then feel my 7-year old daughter climb in bed and snuggle close.

I’m so very grateful for these moments and I’m a very lucky man to experience such love. :newthumb:
