Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Good luck with the job searching wolfie.

I'm glad I don't have to "put myself out there" in this modern era. All these social media platforms you seem to have to go through sound like a minefield. I was never any good in interview situations at the best of times. I'm more of a "Give me a chance to physically show you what I can do" type of bloke as opposed to sitting there telling people or typing a load of old waffle about myself.

Thanks, did one this morning that kept popping an error, it wanted facebook/twitter etc profiles but I don't have any. In the end I just put the sign up pages for FB be able to submit the form. I hate how you are considered 'strange' if you don't have socials (I am strange but nonetheless)

I don't think I'm considered strange as such (well not to my face anyway), I'm just called a dinosaur because I don't do and never have done, facebook.

The think that makes me smile (with a sense of irony) is when these same people who live on social media, ask questions that can be easily answered via a simple Google or haven't got a clue how the rest of their device(s) work.

Anything outside social media platforms or enhancing their selfies is unknown territory.

The main question is how on earth are you going to dispose of his double decker bus without drawing attention?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-59964598 :D
An expletive-laden conversation between two Australian newsreaders on Novak Djokovic's visa saga has gone viral, after a video of it was leaked online.

It shows Channel 7 journalists Mike Amor and Rebecca Maddern talking candidly about the tennis star as they prepare to read Tuesday's evening news.

Maddern says Djokovic is "lying" and "sneaky", while Amor says the athlete has "fallen over his own... lies".
