Mafia 2. Not sure why I like the Mafia games, given how boring I find the majority of these "open world/sandbox" type games.

I loved mafia 2, but I wouldn't bother with mafia 3 if you haven't already. It lost that feel that set it apart from just playing GTA.

Been invited to the beta for WoW:Dragonflight (never got a wow beta invite before - blizzard allocate them with some unknown method)

I don’t want to, but it would be nice to look at what is coming.

I think I might have played the first level on PS4 a few years back - you're a black vietnam vet or something, right? Shame it's not worth a playthrough, I've never been particularly interested in GTA games - just too non-linear for me.

Yeah that's right, but it felt like more like GTA than the other two, but just a very bad version. Very repetitive and had little depth. Also, I was playing it for free on Stadia and packed it in about a third of the way through!

I want to find an emulator or something for Gangsters: Organised Crime. Spent hours upon hours on it after one of my brothers showed me the ropes (I was 7 when it came out!). Perfect balance of strategy, mafia leadership and curating memorable moments like infiltrating the rival compounds and bombing it.

So had a bit of time on it last night with my mate, we have decided this game should probably be played in coop. I think we're about on starting our own business, so hopefully it should start opening up a bit.

Just had a look on the store, ps5 Res Evil village is on sale for £26 and ps4 Sleeping dogs for £3.74. Seem like a couple of decent buys for under 30 sobs.

Also started on Tinykin yesterday. Thought I'd give it a go and ended up playing for 4.5 hours straight and going to bed far too late. Not my usual cup of tea, it harks back to great platformers of the past. Except there doesn't seem to be any kind of fight mechanics at all. I thought I would hate that but it made a nice change of pace.

Both these games seem like a labour of love from their respective makers.

Yep Tinykin is great! Always just one more thing to do which turns a half and hour.play into 2 hours. It's really easy too

Remake of XIII, a game I've always wanted to play. Something about cell-shaded visuals makes them age remarkably well.

Turns out the game's a bit rubbish, sadly. EDIT - I take that back, I'm no longer stuck on a hard bit.

Giving Death Stranding a go. Looks and sounds stunning, but very slow going with a steep learning curve.

Started that today on PS5. Really interesting concept, doesn’t all work but I’m enjoying it.

It's v..good, started it on PS5:a while ago and ran out of momentum a bit and gave the disc back to my son. Enjoying it though after starting it again, gameplay is clever, you can play how you want (stealthy or guns firing) and it is usually clear what you have to do.

Played 45 mins earlier. Feels a little clunky and the game play at the moment feels very basic but the reviews are sensational so I shall hold any judgement until I have a good few hours under my belt

Finally giving Death Stranding a go on PS Plus. I think it gets being confusing mixed up with being interesting a bit too often but generally it's a good game. It's nice to play something that kinda steers away from all the more generic open world games we've had over the past few years. You can tell they just had a bunch of weird ideas and absolutely made sure they all got in.
