Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
Still playing the Last Epoch. Level 72 now. Hit a bit of a wall when I couldn't beat the boss to go to the level 70 area, but a change of gear and a few more levels sorted that.
Got to the level 70 area and still doing well - my build is holding up. My main problem is manual dexterity when it comes to bosses and their AOE spells - I find it hard to avoid them.
That said, I'm pissing level 70 Tombs, and racing through the level 70 area.
My one gripe - there are no specifc drops for my builds. The drops are bery very random - the amount of bows and staves that are top notch I have found are amazing - but good sword drops - Nah! Also the green drops don't really apply to me so I am missing out on massive set bonuses.
That said I'm still enjoying it - hoping to get to level 100 this time.

I’m a couple levels ahead of you. Just getting to grips with end game and the weaver tree, there is so much loot and I’m not sure what to do with it all at this point.WHU Independent wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 4:06 pm Still playing the Last Epoch. My only slight complaint is how easy it is. I’ve not died once and was clearing a level 75 timeline at 67 without issue. I’m sure it gets harder. Enjoying it though.
Be running Last Epoch along side Diablo 4 season 8 - which I’ll complete the battle pass and season objectives usual.

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
It's a 10 hour game stretched to about 30 due to the mind numbing puzzles that make no sense and open worlds that can easily have going round in a circle unless you check the map every 10 seconds or take a guess where you're meant to go.SirStoneyOfBow wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 8:57 pm It's a lot tougher prospect than Fallen Order. I do feel it's overly finicky and the side missions do not flow like they should.

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
Finished Jedi Survivor. The plot was good and the combat was really well done (although I had to use wimp setting) as I find the parry windows were really short.
Didn't bother with the side missions to collect seeds and fish etc
and I only encountered about 2 Bounty Hunters on my travels so assume lots of them are tucked away in remote corners of the maps.
A decent game but there's no real incentive to go back to previous worlds when you unlock new jumps and so on, the platforming is really clunky in places and too often you just end up wandering around in a circle and realise you've wasted 15 minutes trying to get to a location as you went down a side route that gives you a new pair of trousers as a reward.

I played on the second hardest setting (Jedi Master) for both games, as I'm a bit of a Soulsborne fanboy and wanted it to be of an equal standing.smuts wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 4:58 pm Finished Jedi Survivor. I obtained the platinum for Jedi: Fallen Order but could not be arsed to do the same for Jedi: Survivor. I enjoyed the combat though, but the collecting aspect was unbearable at times.

Back to Diablo 4. Season 8, they’ve made changes (many not for the better). Playing Nerco minion build this time.
They’ve made it much harder. Bosses are actually bosses now and stuff needs to be dodged etc. the highest level (Torment 4) is now considered ‘aspirational’ and for the top 10% only. Fortunately you can now get the main seasonal rewards in T3. We’ll see how this pans out.

For an even more unbearable reason, I'm a complete Trophy whore, must be some OCD thing that comes with wanting value for money over time. Anyway, just completed AC: Shadows and platinumed again. Way before the DLC comes out (and I'll probably forgot I pre-ordered the game so get it for free. I'll check back in 6 months.
Onto the new Indiana Jones one...... first area in with the Nazis. Someone please tell me the fighting mechanics get a lot smoother becuase it feels like a clunky pile of dog mess at the moment.

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
I'm in two minds getting the platinum for Split Fiction.
I'm missing one trophy; called "Cold Potato" (look it up) which has been a struggle to work on as my wife will not participate on obtaining it. It just requires teamwork and oh, I don't know.. PERFECTION.
Absolute nightmare.

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
I think the only games I ever went for the 100% on were the Batman Arkham ones and Marvel Spiderman...not platinum though as I'm hopeless at stringing combos etc together.SirStoneyOfBow wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 5:11 pm I played on the second hardest setting (Jedi Master) for both games, as I'm a bit of a Soulsborne fanboy and wanted it to be of an equal standing.

I thought i heard rumours that Respawn have shelved a high profile game so we might not get a third...no more encounters with that insanely annoying giant frog boss or leaping off ledges in the hope that you're actually going where you should be.

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
Gave Balatro a spin now it's on PS Plus and I must admit, it's very addictive.
I know enough about poker to get by, and once you get over the first game and obtain some cards that add neat buffs and improve scoring allowing you to progress further and further.
It's incredibly fun and will drain time very fast.
If this ever leaves PS Plus, I'm purchasing it for sure.

Robocop Rogue City. It's okay, however I'm not a huge fan of FPS.
About 3 hours in and it's mostly shoot samey punks with some baffling side quests thrown in like fetching someone's towel for them while they're in the shower.
It's also pretty slow slowly stomping from one objective to another.
I'm sure it will improve.

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
That's exactly the feeling I get from watching gameplay and reviews of that game, smuts.
The nostalgia in me wants to play Robocop, but it looks real slow in movement and quite repetitive - but that's how I feel about all FPS games. I never really liked them and haven't played one since Duke Nukem 3D. But still. It's Robocop. Kind of want it!:)

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
It's somewhat cool to realize that despite 30 years passing, the DOOM titles are still the best FPS out there.
I do look forward to playing The Dark Ages later this year but there's nothing boring or repetitive (to me at least) playing DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal.
Rip and tear. RIP. AND. TEAR.

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
Comes out in 2 days, I was planning to play it on release but Expedition 33 has drawn me in so much that I'm not even going to start Doom until I've finished it.SirStoneyOfBow wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 6:15 pm It's somewhat cool to realize that despite 30 years passing, the DOOM titles are still the best FPS out there.

I'm also going to buy a physical copy of E33 and Doom DA (if it is as good as the last 2 have been).

Be aware that if you are on a PS5 the physical copy of Doom is 85mb digital key and you still have to download the game (it is not a real physical copy) .Gormalysis wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 9:12 am

Re: 🕹️ What are you playing right now?
I remember this. At the time it was the biggest download I've ever seen, and this was back on the PS4 where I like most I was limited to 500Mb of space. I couldn't believe the size of the thing!

Installing ExoDOS in preparation for an evening of late 90s PC gaming.
