Yeah, but to quote my hero, that's a 'futures and pasts' argument.

If it is human nature to sin, surely we can only be held responsible for it, once we've been born and we've been busy sinning?

To be born a sinner tends to suggest that we're being set up to fail?

I can’t find the bike riding thread so I’ll ask here: we need to stick 3 bikes on the roof of the Volvo xc40 in the summer,we’ve got aero roof bars that are 80mm wide, when I bought a cheap Halfords carrier before Xmas for the nippers bike it didn’t fit the bars.

I’ve been having a look at some other ones and can’t work out what I need,is there some sort of adapter required?

What's the point of the whole shoe size system if different manufacturers define them differently?

Decathlon, Hoka: Size 9 / 275mm
Sketchers, Reebok: Size 9 / 280mm
Clarks: Size 9 / 272mm
Nike: Size 9 / 270mm

Wouldn't it be easier just to scrap the whole system and just measure feet and shoes in mm?

Then surely all shoes would measure one foot, wouldn't they?

Looks like it's irrelevant anyway. I've just looked at my trainers... the label inside says that they're 275mm. I've pulled the insole out and measured that and it measures 290mm. It's no wonder people have trouble finding shoes that fit.

I think the answer would likely have to be a flat no.
Almighty God, the ultimate creator of the universe & everything in it, gets a little peeved when after all of that colossal effort that he put in, some ungrateful, disbelieving b*stards don't believe in him. As punishment he then doesn't let them into heaven & hopes that's a warning to everyone else.
He's not the only one mind, Allah's also just as touchy.
Not that I want to start any blasphemous rumours; I don't want to be smitted.
I'm going to be smitted, aren't I...

Driving along today thinking about an article I read a while back. Would a car powered by hydrogen be lighter when it's full than empty?

Just that wouldn't the hydrogen offer it a degree of buoyancy?

Why aren't shoes shaped more like actual feet? Who came up with the idea of tapering them at the front in an attempt to crush all my toes?

(or the other light elements for that matter)

Nuclear fusion occurs in stars as hydrogen is turned in to helium and the infinitesimal change in mass is released as energy. Helium fuses to form carbon (I think) etcetera until iron remains and the star fizzles out or there's a supernova as the nuclear fusion stops and the star collapses under it's own weight then explodes. It's believed that the violent supernova can fuse even iron to form the heavy unstable elements such as uranium, and throw them out into space.

But what about all the hydrogen that's been burned? Will the universe simply run out?
Being the most abundant element in the known universe? Probably not.
Certainly not before our Sun stops shining.
