Certainly one of those games that brought puzzle elements and a cerebral view to FPS.
Of course, you have Doom, Quake, GoldenEye etc etc as contenders as the greatest FPS of all time but the Half Life series had a perfect mix of action, puzzle, tension, humor and a wonderful narrative that had never been executed with this kind of quality.
An amazing set of games.

I think we still are waiting on Half Life 2: Episode 3.... HL3 is a long way away....

... and as for the actual HD version of Half Life 2... Beautiful. I'll play it through again!
I just wonder what tweaks they'll make to Ravenholm.... :arry:

Agreed, I've completed it several times over, along with HL2 episodes one and two. I'm probably due another play.

Still waiting for episode 3 and HL3.

A little tip for you, if it fails to start then drag the files into your hl2 dictionary. Make sure your run the character pimper first though.

Deus Ex is another contender for one of the greatest games ever made aswell. A timeless classic. Oh and if anyone wants to replay half life then download Black Mesa Source. Another fantastic mod. Brings half life into the 21st century aswell.
