Agree, ssequels nearly always devalue the original.

Thought GaGa was decent in the recent Gucci flick though.

I really enjoyed Thor Ragnarok and this again looks like good fun.

This week's episode of The Boys is the notorious Herogasm...

For anyone yet to see the new Dr Strange, it is streaming on D+ now. I haven’t seen it yet, so hopefully I’ll have time tonight.

Thats crazy how quick they've pushed Dr Strange out. - Their subscribers are going through the roof.

Rumours of a 15 cert (at least) 'Raimi cut' around as well with 40 minutes more footage. Would love to see that if it is true and surfaces (probably after the Spiderman Extended Edition that is appearing cinemas in September)

Yep was quite surprised when I saw it pop up to watch on D+. It only seems to have come out about 6 weeks ago...

Thought it was pretty good.

They're definitely going down the Secret Wars route if they can ever get the FF4 movie off the ground.

It’s still showing at Bluewater.

Worth the hit for Disney to get the subscribers on board, left Netflix for dust.

Oh, they'll get it off the ground alright. The Fantastic Four has always been one of Marvel's crown jewels (which is no doubt why, when times were harder, they sold the movie rights for them along with the other gold standard properties: Spider-Man and the X-Men). They've got a shitload of goodwill now from the moviegoing MCU-loving public who want it to work this time. It's a part of the imminent MCU which I'm actually intrigued and excited about. I want to see the Silver Surfer in a movie worthy of him. I want to see Galactus. ACTUAL Galactus, not a ****ing vague swirly cloud in the sky.

Are they still looking for a director after the Spiderman guy quit?

Yep, I want the full Jack Kirby art bought to life when they finally get it under way.

F4 is tricky to do right, IMHO - the comic was utter crap for huge proportion of its life with occasional highlight runs, and most of the big F4 antagonists have already been done.

Dr Doom is the obvious one, but he's had 3 calamitous outings already. Galactus and Silver Surfer were done disastrously badly.
Kree, Skrulls, Inhumans, Klaw, Kang/Rama Tut, Black Panther have all been done elsewhere. Sub Mariner is allegedly in Black Panther 2.
Mad Thinker might be workable, Red Ghost not so much. Molecule Man, Diablo & Puppet Master would be hard to do seriously, I think.
They could go for an all out comedy with Impossible Man, but that doesn't seem terribly likely. Mole Man is kind of silly, and was sort of done by Underminer in the Incredibles. The likes of Hate Monger and Psycho Man are just stupid.

Yet another Thor trailer - with a hint of Celestials, and extra annoying GnR soundtrack

On another tack, after 5 somewhat lacklustre episodes, The Boys is back with a vengeance with ep 6, the infamous Herogasm episode, though not for reasons you might think from the title

The theatrical window has been cut to just 45 days so that is why we are seeing films on streaming services a lot sooner.

They haven't announced anyone new so far. Jon Watts got a Star Wars gig and as they are all under the Disney banner, I don't think Marvel could do anything about that.

I know Peyton Reed (of the Ant Man films) is keen on directing the FF film. I think he wanted to set the film in the 60s.

Soooo much this! Silver Surfer my favourite Marvel character and Galactus is an epic baddie.

It was brilliant. Two back to back excellent episodes. Sounds like the Americsn audience are finding it a little too close to home!

Yep another good episode of The Boys.

Can't believe it's the final episode next week of the season already.
