I got 2 episodes in and sacked it off.

The quality of everything Marvel right now is abysmal. It’s lazy and taking its audience for granted now.

Yeah I've given up with She Hulk. Good cast but wasted.

Joker sequel

Post by brothernero »

Good news for fans of the amazing Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix they are finally making a sequel. Where Joaquin will reprise the titular role.

Bad news it is going to be a musical starring Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.

Why, god why??? 🤬

It’s supposed to be through the eyes of Harley Quinn and how she sees the world and the Joker I think.

Like almost hallucinating songs with all his insanity going on.

Even them talking about it is better than many of the releases recently.

New trailer out for Wakanda Forever

I'm just not feeling it - definitely not one I'm going to be booking the cinema seat for on opening day.

The winged feet on Namor look ridiculous (and to be honest, it's hard to know how they could have dealt with that, given they're so stupid to start with, but ....), and there's a bit where he's zipping around in the sky which looks atrocious

She-Hulk ep 8 is out - this is the one you've been waiting for, after several largely non-event episodes.

What on earth have they done with the character? He/she is a clown (speaking in a slight riddle for those who haven’t seen it!)

Really disappointed with that imo.

Just watched Werewolf by Night.

Disappointed that it didn't go as far with the B-Movie, Monster Mash vibe as I'd hoped it might after having seen the trailer, and there really wasn't much in the way of storyline or characterisation. Still, I liked the classic Universal Studios 30s/40s look for Gael Garcia Bernal's werewolf get-up, and I loved both Harriet Sansom Harris chewing the scenery; and the marvelous, scene-stealing Man-Thing.

Also watched WbN - much much better than i expected - still very kitschy, but entertaining. Allegedly, Ted at least will be back in the MCU later

And me. I liked it. Fun watch. Because it is a seasonal one off, it can be silly and kitschy, and get away with it. Thought Marvel did a good job with this show.

Halfway through Ms. Marvel. Thirty minutes in, I was ready to ditch it but, even though it's clearly not aimed at a 50 year old bugger like me, I've found myself somewhat charmed by its kooky, girly part-animated aesthetic, and lead Iman Vellani is genuinely endearing. So I'll finish it today or tomorrow before moving along to She-Hulk. I do hope though that Disney aren't going to stuff too many vital expository plot points into shows which only cater to specific age demographics because then there's a greater chance, as the MCU expands and people start picking and choosing what works for them, that we'll all wind up missing information we needed in order to enjoy/understand the next film/show along on the production line.

She-Hulk ep9 is out, the big superhero battlefest finale

They really crank it to 11 on this one - you're going either really love it or really hate it - I don't think there's going to be a reaction in between.

I don't know if it was genius or a proper jump the shark moment for the MCU.
