First trailer out for the Flash film
DC throwing everything at the wall in this one - either going to be monumental or a massive fiasco.
Dunno about the film generally, but Ezra Miller looks as terrible in this as they were in JLA

Not sure I care about whether The Flash is any good. Im just looking forward to seeing Michael Keaton and the music being played.
In face, let’s just cut out Ezra Miller, and make it all about Keaton please.

Agree with you Mumbles.
I like Ben Affleck as Batman & Ezra as the Flash.
Really like the trailer and can't wait for the film to come out now. Just a shame his personal life is so messed up.

Not a fan of the Snyder DC universe but this does look pretty good.

iirc I thought it started pretty well but then kind of ambled on a while going not really anywhere and then kind of fizzled out at the end...

Great start and finish with a very, long, middle.
Looking forward to Ant Man on Friday, hopefully the Phase 4 nonsense can be set aside and Marvel get back in the groove.

Saw WF over the weekend. At this point I think I have to accept that the post End Game Marvel films/shows weren't intended for me. They're landing with my kids, but not with me. I'm just bored.

Wakanda "feels like it goes on" Forever.
The Marvel films really have gone down in quality lately. At least this wasn't as woeful as the truly dire Thor Love and Thunder, it was just an hours plot dragged out into 2 hours 45 minutes with pretty naff action scenes thrown in.
Best parts were the tributes to Chadwick Boseman. What a talent he was.

This is going to be the first one I’m going to miss at the cinema I think. Doesn’t look great at all.

To be fair, as much as I loved the first Ant Man film, the second was a real let down and it would seem the downward trajectory is continuing sadly.

Re: Superhero ( & sci-fi / other relevant) films
Just watched Black Adam (Collet-Serra, 2022) and, against expectations, thought it was a lot of fun. The Rock didn't treat us to The People's Eyebrow, alas, but apart from that I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Worrying thing is that the writer of this is apparently doing the next big Avengers one. (You can bet they are already bumping the Disney plus subs price to pay for Downey Jr's inevitable return...)
Marvel really need to pull one out of the fire pretty soon, Spiderman Far from Home was quite good but lately? Average to woeful.
Thor Love and Thunder was absolutely dire...and this is from someone who loved Ragnarok.

Yep, I really enjoyed Ant Man, the sequel was pretty forgettable.Chicken Run Supreme wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 1:10 pm To be fair, as much as I loved the first Ant Man film, the second was a real let down and it would seem the downward trajectory is continuing sadly.

Re: Superhero ( & sci-fi / other relevant) films
Had the afternoon off yesterday and naturally, I was a hypocrite and saw it.
Absolutely terrible. It exists just to introduce Kang. Can’t decide whether it’s between this and The Eternals as the worst one but I thought it was really lazy and pathetic writing.
4/10.
Re: Superhero ( & sci-fi / other relevant) films
Apart from a couple of exceptions the MCU is pretty rubbish if captain America isn't in the filmhammers92 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 9:42 am Had the afternoon off yesterday and naturally, I was a hypocrite and saw it.

They normally do first of films ok, ant man, iron man .. guardians
Second ones were pony
Took 3 for Thor to be cracking
Yet if it's captain America it seems to flow
Since he left they all pretty much missed
