There's no way around th ECJ and its role in protecting the Single Market. Always was an issue along with the border.

Wasn't immigration way down the list even for Tory voters in 2019?
Reciprocal visa agreements with India are a bad thing?

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath
So the DUP says it will vote against the Windsor Framwork.
ERG have previously said they would take their lead from the DUP but the measure will pass because of Labour votes.
So... where are we?
Tory divisions will come out again, Johnson loyalists will have a stick to beat Sunak with and the never ending Tory euro psycho drama will drag on.
Bigger issue for Sunak is that he now relaises what evreyone knew, you can have two of three from
1) Brexit
2) An onside DUP
3) No border on the island of Ireland.
But there is no way to all three.
Of course the DUP first went into Stormont despite being opposed to the Good Friday Agreement but is there way back now?
Demographics are turning against them, but it's a slow burn.

+ Starmer will get attacked by the usual suspects for having his MPs vote with the government.

Presumably Sunak will put a 3 line whip on this. Will there be any implications for the ERG gang if they vote against it?

Will Richy eventually bung the DUP another billion to get them onside like May did?
Or, will he lie to them like Johnson did( does) and the DUP will be DUPed again?

It is almost like it means different things to different people. The way Johnson was able to get away with glossing over the Northern Ireland issue though is nothing short of scandalous given the potential impact.
At some point the ERG types need to decide what is more important to them as they cannot have it all.
I just want something which works, with clear rules and where people won’t get killed over it. Then we can just bloody move on and try and make everyone’s lives a bit better.

Northern Ireland in favour of the new deal by a ratio of 3:1.
A timely reminder that the DUP are not Northern Ireland, any more than the SNP are Scotland.

The difference being though that the SNP are the majority party in Scotland, the DUP are not the majority party in Northern Ireland. There lies the main reason for their current awkwardness, the loss of control of Stormont and why they are not keen to return.

When Steve Baker is saying this, Johnson et al really are showing who they are.

It's politics and people's views can switch 180 depending on which side of the tent they are on.Big George wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 12:42 pm When Steve Baker is saying this, Johnson et al really are showing who they are.
If he wasn't in his current gig Baker would be leading the trouble making and voting against.

Or maybe he and Chris Heaton- Harris took the gigs to try and make the Brexit deal work for NI?SammyLeeWasOffside wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 3:41 pm If he wasn't in his current gig Baker would be leading the trouble making and voting against.
Baker has been kicked off one of the ERG groups. However they can’t kick him off three others because he is admin

Stop the boats!
We need more, as extra vessels are deployed to ease the backlog.
Meanwhile idiots who helped cause the delays at ports like John Deadwood, tell us to avoid the queues and take a break in the UK. I am sure he has a selection of country retreats to chose from.
Must be nice sat in those queues whilst knowing the government turned down the chance to build more booths and employ more staff to cope with having to stamp all those blue passports , that could have been any colour we chose whilst in the EU.
Freedom, there ain't no effing freedom as someone once sang.
