You’re ruining the country Delbs 🙂You’re not alone - my dementia ridden aunt is too. And me. Bubbles will tell me if I’m wrong but he is too I think. He’s done one or two shifts in the public sector I believe. We’re all to blame. Absolutely, none of our problems are on the actual c**** making shitloads from a system designed to benefit them.

Busted. My own long march through the institutions has seen me vote Labour in 1997 and undermine the establishment by drawing a government wage for doing very little..........

Boys and girls, can you please not post like the above, unless it's from proper, verifiable sources, rather than some Twitter random with a tag-line like she has.

This applies to both sides of the table.

If pros or antis wish to entertain stuff like this, then entertain it on the platform you found it, and not on here, as we won't be giving a platform to it unless it's verifiable.

I’m the only one in my immediate family that voted for Brexit and votes Tory.

Sometimes I wonder if Brexit was a good idea due to the **** show of a deal we got but time will tell on that one.

Talking of deals. No trade deal with the US even in the medium term according to Truss. There aren’t even any talks going on…

We were led to believe this was all going to be straight forward.

But now we can negotiate our own trade deals.

None of new own trade deals appear to be any better than what we had already, of course. Some are worse and seem to have gone down very well with our trading partners. Take the reaction to the farming industry here and the Australians over that Truss deal.

It will all be worthwhile when a few scales can have imperial measures only on them, your vaccum cleaners a bit stronger and the new yardage signs are put up in Dartford Tunnel.

At least Nigel the wide mouthed frog has got his blue passport.

That's more important than economic chaos, regulatory chaos and the consequences for Northern Ireland.................... or perhaps not.

Not the only one he's got by the looks of it. Seems to have a German one too. He apparently applied for it the day after the referendum. He's not daft our Nige. Campaigned to ensure that we didn't have the automatic right to live and work in the EU, whilst ensuring that he kept that right himself.

Oven ready deal wasn't it? Countries lining up to strike trade deals with UK plc. I can't believe our politicians would simply lie to us like that.

I'm quite interested in the passport thing. My Father-in-Law is Irish, and as such we're trying to get my wife and the kids sorted with Irish passports so they have the same rights to travel and work etc. I'm obviously a smelly lefty, so I'm not going to look at it objectively, but is it just understood that an Irish passport is better these days, or are there other benefits to a UK passport post-brexit that I'm not aware of?

Genuinly not stirring and looking for an answer as it's a question I've had with a couple of people now.

I had both UK and Irish passports which expired. To renew the UK one needed the application and several supporting documents wintessed in triplicate by at least two members of the College of Heralds and an MP or an archbishop, on parchment or vellum only. Or so it seemed.

The Irish one needed a new photo and the money. guess which one I now have.
