Re: Fallout 4
Some sort of Fallout-related announcement due on 10th June.
Would be happy with a 3 re-master, happier with 5, and delirious with a Fallout MMO along the lines of ESO.
It'll probably be none of these things.

Re: Fallout 4
I’m not sure what it’ll be.
I’ll be delighted with a brand new experience. Some are hoping for New Vegas 2, some for a new location entirely, some want a reimagining of Fallout 3 or New Vegas.
Imagine a Fallout game in London? That would be very interesting.

I was thinking exactly the same, Stoney. Fallout: London would be outstanding.
It'd almost be post-War of the Worlds like

Re: Fallout 4
Yeah, London would be brilliant, and a distinctly new feel with familiar mechanics. Provided the voice actors were actually British (if not specifically Londoners). Nothing's worse than the Dick Van Dyke-esque accents you sometimes get in games.
One of the ruined locations could be the OS.

Re: Fallout 4
Doesn't give much away though. . . .
Looks like it is set before Fallout 3 and around the War.
I'll probably buy it . .
Might need to play Fallout 3 & 4 again though.

Re: Fallout 4
There seems to be speculation that this might be an online survival style game similar to Metal Gear Solid Survival.
I'm trying not to spoil it too much, but I can't wait!
Might even end up being a battle royale game as they're all the rage now.

Re: Fallout 4
Have to say, I'd be very disappointed with a battle royale thing, although it would probably make total commercial sense.
For me, Fallout is an RPG with quests and a semblance of narrative. Would love to see that as an ESO style MMO, but not another bloody arena survival thing.

Re: Fallout 4
I’ll keep my dick in my pants until I see some definitive gameplay.
But discussing with others I’d like to see vehicles used, brand new selection of monsters and enemies plus a new engine that harnesses multiple mechanics that enhance the online experience, whether it be co-op or versus. I’d love to roam a wasteland out-gunning a truck full of raiders with a few pals.
Bethesda need to get this right, where Bioware seemingly got ME:Andromeda completely wrong.

Re: Fallout 4
Holy downloads, Batman!
Like Moley said, being able to roam with just 1 or 2 partners - with the difficulty level raised in accordance to - would be ideal.
I'd hate the idea of sharing the world with dozens of other players. The wasteland is a lonely, lonely place other than 1 or 2 companions and should stay that way.

Re: Fallout 4
OK, more info here. It seems to be an open-world survival sandbox. It's multiplayer, but only a few players will appear in any instance, so you won't see masses of players anywhere. No NPCs?
Most importantly, for me, is they say it can be played solo, but it's not quite clear how that will work and to what extent single-player is going to be a thing. It sounds like you might need to group to get the best from it.

Re: Fallout 4
Fair play to Beth.
Was a fairly muted response from the audience to F76 (which I think they expected) so they threw in Fallout Shelter for console, ESO Murkmire, TES Mobile (Blades) AND TES6 into the mix as sweeteners.
Not to mention the new (sci fi) IP, amazingly their first for 25 years.
