He is just another evidence of Moyeses failings as a manager. Moyes doesnt have the balls to bench soucek cause he needs him to break up play. Not understanding that playing him results in us losing possession a lot more, with his inability to play a simple pass and to chose the right pass.
He dropped him against Everton. A game which if he lost he'd have probably found himself out of a job.

No Cresswell or Soucek. At least Kehrer will probably have to have a run out so there is still a scapegoat.

As many have pointed out, Lanzini is great at those simple passes, keeping the ball and slowing it down. Great when you are winning 2-0. Not so much when you are a goal down and chasing the game.

He doesn't pass through the lines and never really has. He used to break the lines with his acceleration. Something seriously lacking since his injury.

He is now a specialist tool to be deployed as such and is being.

Laying this on the manager with all the b*llocks on here at the moment is just another stick to beat him with or the latest selected battlefield.

It’s pretty tiresome
What's tiresome, is those that defend Moyes (the Moyes lovers) no matter what, even though he is the manager who picks the Team week in, week out. We're in a relegation battle for a reason and he should be held accountable for the decisions he's made, just as he rightly gets praised to the rafters when he gets it right. And ignoring someone as good as Lanzini for most of the League campaign when struggling for form/performances/goals should be called out. That is, unless you and some others think it's acceptable to be deep in a relegation battle after the huge spend he made that was added to a nucleus of some well established decent players.

You're grasping here mate.
Manu isn't starting in the league because Paqueta, Benny & Bowen are seen as better options, sometimes Pablo gets the shout over Benny.
He's started every ECL game as the pace of those games suits him & it gives the other lads a rest.
I don't think there's the conspiracy here that you're looking for.
There are far better sticks to try to beat the manager with than Manu imo...

No grasping, we're in a relegation scrap having suffered badly for form, points and performances and yet 1 of our decent players who could have been called upon has been sidelined in the League for little reason. His form both last season and in Europe this season has proved he's still a valuable member of the squad and yet, he's been often overlooked to the point he's a bit part player. That lays at the managers door as he picks the Team.

I’m going to be completely unrealistic and ignore the form issues on this occasion and let my heart completely rule my head.
I want to watch players who make me smile… win, lose or draw.
Lanzini and Fornals make me smile.
West Ham will seem a bit of a sadder place when these two eventually go.

Look, I get it, but I'd personally be more annoyed if Moyes had benched Paqueta from the start to give him time to acclimatise or bench Bowen with his bad form & played Manu instead of allowing those players to play themselves into some form.
Manu's had his day, he was our little jewel but now he's a backup. That's harsh but that's football...

He's already used all those sticks and won't be happy until he's turned every thread into an anti-Moyes rant :thdn:

Harsh, we're all disappointed looking at the squad we have & the position we're in. Everyone deals with things differently...
If we all agreed on everything there would be no need for KUMB, it gives us all a voice to either vent or be positive. We all use this site for different reasons but deep down, we're all West Ham & want the best for the club. Differences in opinion are fine as long as we all have middle ground in common.
The personal digs that are being bandied about quite liberally atm need to stop though, becoming far more prevalent & are beneath us... (in my humble opinion of course).

Keep up Dave we’ve already had the he’s not playing paq but playing Souey argument because he’s a dinosaur yadda yadda now we’re onto Lanzini or any other player not starting

It’s boring as f***

I made the decision to stick the worst offender on the ignore list but unfortunately I have to read the continual assault (often shrouded as something else) on every thread as people quote him…

Ideally we need to get to a place where two of Paqueta, Fornals and Lanzini are on the pitch at the same time. But as someone posted a page or so back there are other parts of the team which need fixing and/or to rediscover some form to allow that to happen.

We could still get there mate and I’m not sure it is that unrealistic if we can start getting some more points on the board.

My dream 3 in midfield would be Rice as DM, with Paqueta & Pablo ahead of him, (I love Pablo & hope he stays forever, love players that exude joy when on the pitch & his happy little head makes me smile)... Still no room for Manu really though, if Rice was injured I'd put Downes in there & if either Paq or Pablo were injured, I'd push Rice up & Downes DM.
Manu only starts a Prem game if we have an injury tsunami tbh...

As Ozza says, I don't mind a discussion on Lanzini's current place in the squad but it was posted as a thinly veiled attack on Moyes which the poster in question has a habit of doing on multiple threads. It's ****ing tiresome and ruins a bloody good forum when people post like children who can't get their own way.

Spot on. The poster is at that level since Pellegrini got sacked. Tedious and ***ing tiresome.

433 or 4231 I don't mind which. Lanzini has a more obvious role in a 4231.

Then I think about fullbacks, start to weep, the screen goes blank and when it flicks back into life we have 3 ATB and there are only two midfield slots...
