My mistake for even half believing something on twitter
This was last week:
We are looking at other strikers because we aren’t doing it. Me or Gianluca, we both aren’t doing it. So, they are going to try and maybe bring someone else in. We see how it goes. In football, if they don’t want me, if they don’t want Gianluca, then they are going to try and get somebody out. If he comes in, then they might get somebody out. Or they might just want three options,” said Antonio, speaking on the Footballers Football Podcast.

He can speak about himself, but it’s just ****ing unprofessional to discuss whether a team mate is performing or not in the media.
If I was Scamacca I’d tell him to shut his ****ing mouth.
Also, way to give a bloke who’s clearly low on confidence a booster ‘Iron Mic’. You thick ****.
Even if Mic's not talking about West Ham he comes off sounding bad on these pods. Callum Wilson kind of runs rings around him in their exchange of jibes.

For the record I’ve been a huge supporter of Mickey, loved him whilst he’s been here, I just think he’s being a right **** at the moment for his own gains, at the expensive of the club and that’s bang out of order (imho)
Exact same Oz.
Angling for a media job, trying to aim for the role via whatever attention he can get. Even if that means pushing his fella strikers under the bus.
Made himself look like an utter utter **** to be honest. The Italian lad is probably too new and too young to spot he’s been dealing with a broken Billy big bollox.
Ings is and always has been a far better footballer, is a proven better premier league striker, and Antonio knows it.

Do people still think he said nothing wrong?
Maybe, he just realises that West Ham's problem is not scoring goals & he & Scamacca either address the situation or they're both gone...
Antonio in being a realist shocker...
The rest is just a dude having a laugh on a podcast & brain not connecting to mouth in the same way his shots aren't connecting with the back of the net...
I find it all very sad. He’s been a great servant for us. By no means our best player but he always seems to give everything he’s got, which often isn’t enough but sometimes it has been, and along the way there’s been some great moments.
Now reaching the end of his career, he seems to be trying to carve out a media role for himself but I’m afraid he’s being really bad advised. Every time he opens his gob he just shows that he’s not that clever. Too many cringy moments already.
Keep quiet Mickey, get your head down and get fit. Score some goals for Christ sake, that’s what your paid a lot of money to do.
Why is it that the players most closely linked to West Ham who decide to go into the media game in recent years come across as rather simple? Carlton Cole, bless him, can barely string a sentence together when covering our games. And now Antonio is getting it all wrong on his podcast. He’s mugged Scamacca off there, whether on purpose or not. That’s really crap of him. It’s a small gripe but would love an intelligent ex-player (or current) representing us in the media. Someone like Collison, Zamora and out of the current lot Ogbonna would represent us very well I reckon. Joe Cole does but he’s not exclusively linked to us.

Joe Cole is a West Ham fan & always was though.
He may have strayed but he'll always be one of us imo... He's also got an analytical football brain & is eloquent in putting his thoughts across in any games I've seen him commentate on.
Some people just have the knack, maybe Mic's way of doing it resonates with the "youth". I dunno not being of that generation.
I do agree he needs to reign it in a bit or he risks alienating us older fans though...
