minecraft beginner tryin to help my son

Hi all,

My son has got minecrsft on his Xbox but can't really get the handle of it,
He loves watching videos on YouTube of blokes playing it and then asks me to get him that game or help him make explosions like in this film below
Can you pls help me get him started or let me know where best to look for simple instructions

This is an excellent resource that details what materials you require to craft each item (although I think the xbox version shows you this anyway):

After playing Minecraft Dungeons and watching a mates twitch channel about Minecraft I'm thinking of buying it. Anyone here play on a regular basis? Am I to late to the party? What do I need to know before getting involved? Cheers in advance.

I don't know how old your son is but this is a good course and site with bundles of information and aimed at kids, training, guides, pretty educational too and building key skills
