Re: Trump
They’ve got hammered in the primaries so far, but a few have wriggled through to the next round.

Re: Trump
“An attack by Radical Left Democrats” even though Trump himself appointed the current director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, who served in the George W. Bush administration and is a member of the Federalist Society.
A bad couple of days on Planet Trump as former campaign chair, Paul Manafort finally admits what the Senate Intelligence Committee said in their report about Russian interference in the 2016 election - he gave internal polling data from the Trump campaign to Konstantin Kilimnik, who, according to the Senate report, was a Russian intelligence agent.

trump himself was friends with the Clintons & gave money to Democrats & many of his supporters voted for Obama first time around but if he says a career Republican is a 'radical socialist' then that's what they'll all believe. RINO is their pet term.

Re: Trump
It's finally happening.
trump gets banned from running for office so he sets up alternate elections in which he wins 99.9% of the vote ("it was rigged, I should have won 100%") then a shadow trumpamerica exists in which he rules from Mar a Largo via his own network (only $49.99 per month plus some pay per view special events). trumpamericans will only shop at trump shops, travel to trump resorts and listen to trump media.

Re: Trump
Indeed. Alex Jones had his whole house of lies torn down at the recent defamation trial yet was immediately able to get his associates to go out and canvass for cash to cover the damages award. How in the world is that possible? Because the dumb ****'s who follow the conspiracy theory camp and wear MAGA hats want to believe that there is a government within a government and that X-Files was not a fantasy thriller but a factual documentary.bitter-iron-ny wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 5:38 pm The problem isn't the demagogues, it’s their audiences.

The American Dream is a wonderful thing, until people start realising that the American Dream is just that - A dream. And that those who were hard-working (or lucky) enough to pull themselves up by their bootstraps - do not want anyone else to do the same. But they do need those hard-working joe's to keep buying their products and ideally yo keep voting for them. So who's to blame for the fact that the 'American Dream club' is full.
Well it could be the immigrants, it could be the african-americans, it could be all sorts of people - but actually, some of them are doing ok for themselves, so who else could we blame....AHAHA.....the Liberal elite. Perfect.
Those who have been given power. Not those who have worked hard for it. Those who inherited it from their hard-working parents. The ****ing liberal elite masses who squandered Mummy and Daddy's hard-earned gains, driving around in Limo's in the 80's, attending galas, going bankrupt 4 times, funding the democrats and avoiding Vietnam. It's those clowns who are to blame. Not the hard-working few who pay their taxes, do thir national service, say their prayers and vote republican.
And who do the hard-working Republicans need to tell them about the Liberal elite? They need one of their own. A normal stiff. Someone who knuckled down and who shunned the limelight. Who went to church every week, married his high school sweetheart and who raised a good honest American family. Someone who calls it like it is. Not one of those New York types with a different woman every night. A hard-working Joe. Someone like ....Donald Trump???
Honestly. The world's gone ****ing mad.

Re: Trump
US Attorney General asks judge to unseal Trump search warrant
The Department of Justice has filed a motion to unseal documents related to the search of Donald Trump's home - but what does that mean?
Unsealing judicial materials means making them available to the public and the press.
Court documents are typically kept sealed for confidentiality reasons - in this case, it involves a search executed at the residence of a former US president.
At his news conference a short while ago, Attorney General Merrick Garland noted this investigation - like many others that his department has carried out - was being conducted "out of the public eye".
But, he said, Trump not only issued a public statement confirming the search on Monday, but it has also attracted significant interest in the days since.
A federal court must now balance out the intense public attention to the search with Trump's interest in keeping the information confidential.
If the court decides that releasing the search warrant and related documents would not "impair court functions or harm legitimate privacy interests" - it will make the warrant materials public.
The motion to unseal allows, however, for former President Trump to object and effectively block the warrant from being made public.
