More good news for Trump (BBC website)

Trump suffered another legal setback on Friday when a New York judge ruled that a criminal case against his company - the Trump Organization - and its longtime chief financial officer can proceed.

Former CFO Allen Weisselberg appeared in court to hear the judge's response to his February request to dismiss all 15 charges against the company and himself.

Prosecutors allege that the defendants are guilty of criminal fraud and tax evasion. They say the alleged scheme allowed Weisselberg to avoid paying taxes of some $1.8m (£1.5m) in off-the-books income.

Jury selection is set for 24 October.

NYT are reporting that one of Trump's lawyers, "signed a written statement in June asserting that all material marked as classified and held in boxes in a storage area at Mr. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and club had been returned to the government." "The written declaration was made after a visit on June 3 to Mar-a-Lago by Jay I. Bratt, the top counterintelligence official in the Justice Department’s national security division."

No surprise, but his lawyer has apparently lied, in writing no less, about whether the don was in possession of the boxes of documents in question. The case against him keeps on building itself.

No, they're consistently delusional/dishonest. Statewide officials and candidates in places like Wyoming and Oklahoma, where Trump won by 30 and 33 points respectively (similar to overwhelmingly favorable margins for all Republican candidates) insist that there was not a free and fair election in their state. It's a coordinated campaign of disinformation designed to build support to undermine the electoral process.
