Its funny how their definition of socialism and ours, differs so widely. They just end up paying for services out of pocket, rather than via taxes. In Europe, Bernie Sanders would be a prominent social democrat, and would sit in line with people like Roy Hattersley and John Smith, with perhaps more than a touch of Tony Benn. In Europe, we have actual communists that masquerade as socialists, but that is the nature of politics when Europe's natural position is to have social safety nets, public healthcare, and free tertiary education.

As someone mentioned previously, American Christianity is the Taliban of the West & it marches hand in hand with Conservative politics here.
Since the 80s it's been clicking further to the Right each year meaning that a central view is now seen as left wing.

However, he's possibly the most pig looking human I've ever had the displeasure of seeing.
Added to the fact he wants teachers to physically check children's private parts before a sports lesson make him possibly the most repulsive "thing" imaginable.
People voted for this lunatic & he's only doing this because he knows his supporters will lap it up.

Wasn't sure if this should go here or Other News but it is trump related so.....
A fox 'news' shareholder is suing Murdoch & directors over their coverage of the last election here, specifically fox pushing claims that the election was stolen despite since admitting that they knew it was lies.
It will be interesting to see how this ends up, hot on the heels of the other lawsuit brought by the company that makes the voting machines, which is claiming over a billion dollars in damages for the same thing.
The most pressing question is will the price of The Sun go up?
