I hear what you're saying Macca, and you're not wrong. It's hypocritical to make fun of the pejorative when it is in fact a racist, classist way of describing poor, white rural people. I just did it and I shouldn't have.
Over here people often refer to themselves as white trash. It's a redneck lifestyle, a badge of honor. There are large festivals that celebrate the lifestyle. And I suppose that it is an example of why there's such a big divide in this country between rural white people and their urban counterparts. It's just so weird that they adopted Trump as their leader. There is no one in this country who hates them more than he.

He does however, 'love the poorly educated'. And apparently, they love him.

Anniversary for an ignominious day tomorrow. It’s remarkable and humiliating that no one has yet been held accountable for it. Hopefully people keep their cool.

Plenty of been held accountable, just not those that organised it & stoked the fires.

which means no one has been held accountable. 'Local repairman gets 4 months for sitting in a Congressman's chair' isn't addressing that there was an attempt to overthrow the government from within the government.
