The Round Table last night...10 out of 10 for the view I had last night. I didn't know where to look.

The Fountain Inn, Bulieth Wells, Wales.
A bit of a locals pub (not surprising given the vicinity of the place) but friendly staff and half decent beer selection.
They had Sky on, but nobody was watching it. As this was the nearest place to us that had SS I asked if we could have the footy on and the barman duly obliged. We had stools at the bar right in front on the screen. Super!
Plenty of banter from the locals when the game started (come on Newcastle! Is there no Rugby on?) which was all good natured. Ended up talking to a Welsh bloke in the second half who was a Liverpool fan and had a good chat with him. Proper good couple of hours. 9/10.

The Sebastopol, Minting.
New local. In the middle of nowhere. Never anyone there bar a few friendly locals. Closes when the last person's had enough, that sort of place.
Would give it a 10 if they served grub, which they haven't since the pandemic began.
Link.

Long way to get to home matches UTJ! Will you be making them all now you've moved to Lincs?Up the Junction wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 2:59 pm The Sebastopol, Minting.

Went to a Tex-Mex chain restaurant earlier. Had their appetiser Paços de Ferreira which I enjoyed but my Spurs supporting friend choked on.

I returned my season ticket when Ben Campbell (WHUFC's media officer) banned KUMB from attending press conferences.LincolnshireHammer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 6:38 pm Long way to get to home matches UTJ! Will you be making them all now you've moved to Lincs?
Though I am told you can get a train to the smoke directly from Lincoln now, so no need to drive all the way to Newark if and when the above changes.

Lovely little pub. I hope they start serving food again, as it was always good & they had Aspall cider

Sorry to hear that UtJ. It does jog my memory now you mention it.
The Lord Napier Star has recently opened in Hackney Wick for all you match goers. First actual pub in the Wick. I'll be checking it out at some point but not tonight sadly.
Worth checking out as it's on the way from the station to the ground.

Was in there for Atalanta, need a few more staff for match days but assume just teething issues.LincolnshireHammer wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 11:33 am Sorry to hear that UtJ. It does jog my memory now you mention it.

Also had a DJ but think this was just a one off due to a local festival,.it was rather loud.
On the plus side the pub is great and so is the beer.
Prepare for quite a few mum's with dogs and kids.

King of the Belgians in Hartford with the old dear for Sunday lunch. LINK
I was driving, but they have a load of local beers and ciders and had a beer fest on over the holiday weekend with a big one planned for May.
Cracking little pub, lovely food and they have a mussels night planned for October!

The Red Lion, Raithby, Lincs.
Great Country pub, nice staff, nice food, reasonable prices. Not your average pub grub
Well worth a visit, if you are in the area, which narrows it down to UTJ & a couple of others.

Boom Battle Bar in Lakeside. Not really a pub, lots of activities though. Virtual darts, crazy golf with pool cues, beer pong, shuffle boards, axe throwing, pool tables etc. Seems to be what all the kids are doing these days rather than going to a dingy old boozer that stinks of stale puke. Beers took a ****ing age to arrive though, but the activities were fun.

The Ship in Limehouse.
Glad to say this pub hasn't changed a bit, always a warm welcome, good company, nice beer and hilarious drag queens. The pub is in good shape.
Indy, eat your heart out mate.

Ive just moved to a new town that is Uckfield. Joined the local "club"....The Cinq Ports club.
Think 1970's working mans club, old boy in the corner with his own tankard full of Double Diamond and the tackiest furniture and carpets etc ever!!!
But, it has all the sports channels on 3 different screens, a decent menu and a pint of San Miguel is £3.45. Oh, it's a 2 minute walk away with either an Indian or Chinese a few doors away.
And Jevs will be there tonight to watch the Hammers with a fellow Hammer who I met Sunday whilst watching the Everton game.
Love it.

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10
Went to a Buffalo Wild Wings this evening for a few beers & a cheesesteak (which they no longer sell). Was wearing a West Ham top although the place was packed with American Football fans so no one had a Danny what it was.
Until.....
A bloke says to me "Heeeyyyyy West Ham" & we get chatting. He was Ruben from Nigeria (he didn't ask for my bank account details) & a Man Utd fan so I took the piss out of him. The Mexican barmaid joined in too.
Then some chinless wonder down the bar says loudly "We're in America now. Call it soccer" & the three of us just burst out laughing at the c*nt. That was the last words he said. Out loud anyway. He just sat there mumbling into his Bud Lite
