That’s Adrian all over in the space of two games, great shot stopper, especially penalties but always got a f*ck up in him.r99c wrote:Just seen he's had an absolute howler late on and let Southampton in with a chance, standard

It just doesn't seem right him dropping clangers for anyone else, they should be our clangers

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
I know it was only 10 minutes or so, of edited highlights, but that excellent point blank save from Ing's header aside, I thought he looked shaky all afternoon and the Kop faithful will witness plenty more of that before Alllison returns
Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
A bad mistake, but was van Dijk's passback sensible?
Also, blame it on the slide-tackling pitch invader.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
All those wishing we'd kept him - that howler is the reason we had to replace him. That would have cost us points.
Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
I will forever love this man, but playing for another team I can be a little more objective now. Half my family are Liverpool so I have watched every minute and I have to say; if he reacts to something then he is fantastic. If he has something to think about and has to make a decision, he costs the team. He's the goalkeeping version of Carlton Cole. I wish him nothing but success but he was much more suited to a team of our calibre than Liverpool's. 80 minutes of the game he is your favourite player, 10 minutes you have your hands over your eyes in shock/embarassment/fear. Whatever the case.... God speed Adrian. You'll always have a place in my heart.

He’s living his dream. He’s playing in a side well above his ability. He’s playing for one of the absolute giants of club football and there’s a chance he might end up with a Premier League winners medal. I love the bloke and hope he enjoys every moment of it for as long as it lasts.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
He has. I'm a bit surprised nobody has picked up his latest one in Liverpool's win against Arsenal at the weekend, in what was very reminiscent of the one that let Watford back into the game at the OS in our 2-4 loss to them that year. Inexplicably, came charging out of his goal after a ****ed up clearance fell straight to feet of an onrushing Arsenal forward, who nonchalantly dinked it back towards his unguarded net, only this time it narrowly missed, just shaving the outside of the post. Think the score was 0-0 at the timeMacca1973 wrote:

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
The difference between Adrian's howlers when playing for us and the mickeys is that when he played with us his howlers always cost us a goal.
With Mickeys it's different because they are so poxy they get away with it.

Let's see Messrs Roberto and Martin in goal for a PL game before mocking too much.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Always laughed how Adrian took the flack for the Watford goal that Ginge let bounce about 3 times, by which time Adrian must have wondered if he was going to deal with it.
I'm delighted for Adrian. Our number one now is marginally better at most things, Adrian still superb for a 1 on 1 and a pen save which are key moments in games. He's erratic, but that's what makes him the character he is.
He was also superb with our fans and would always have time for us.
