I like Adrian, I do.

But he wasn't part of the squad last season who earned the match, he's only playing due to injury, and all he did was concede a goal Allison probably would have saved, let in another two albeit offside goals, and give away a dodgy penalty
Even the saved penalty he dived out of the way of and only saved due to taking two big steps forward before the kick. If anything, Abraham missed.

Its nice to see a cult character lift a trophy, a bit like Rob Green lifting the UEFA Cup. But if this is a career highlight for him it's pretty poor.

bit harsh on Adrian. he has achieved more than any of our lot have over the last 6 years. he has played in a final and won a cup !

I would rather have Adrian as number 2 than Roberto or martin !

well done to the Spanish hammer !

A friendly cup he didnt play a part in reaching.

Those two are on less than his wages as well, considering he played about 3 games last season.

I wish he was still with us, I wish he had more games for us instead of Randolph and Hart.

Pleased for him, he found himself a situation resulting in success, I can't begrudge him the joy that must bring.

Pleased for him, especially after the way he was treated by Sullivan over the Hart signing.

Never really came back from that

Imagine what more he could have achieved if he had your positive attitude to life!

I'm so chuffed for him. How anyone can begrudge him his moment is beyond me. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. He's earned his luck!

Our love for Adrian even trumps our (completely rational) hatred of the Red Whine.

What a guy!

Are there any other ex-players that we've felt this fondly about the success of, particularly in recent years?

I think that says a lot about how we felt about Adrian as a fanbase.

Another here who's really chuffed for Adrian, top bloke, West Ham cult hero, always got a smile on his face and IMO no player has connected with fans the way he did in the last few years

Can't think of many, don't think many grudged Parker his move after relegation. Majority of folk realised how much he had done for us, and deserved a move.

Just felt with Adrian if he could, he would have stayed here his whole career. In my eyes, he certainly got what playing for West Ham was about.

What a story and what a man.

My favourite keeper of this century, he's better than he's often given credit for, 3 years ago he was getting a Spain call up.

Wow Jackhammer did he sleep your mum or something, why so harsh towards him. Why not just say well done to the big man or just not say anything at all.

Congratulations Adrian, well deserved and you will always remain one of my fave players. Wish you were still here.
