Re: RIP Keith
Heavens above I didn't realise he was the landlord of the Cuckoos nest in Gawcott before he had the mitre .
I drank in both establishments many times as a teenager .

Re: RIP Keith
Keith was a true East-End Hammer and someone who me and the family are proud to have called a good friend.
Kind, warm-hearted and with a great sense of fun, time in his company - whether inside The Mitre, at football or elsewhere - was always a genuine pleasure.
Such a shock and so sad to think he won't be at the Olympic Stadium come August, which was something he was really looking forward to.
RIP mate.

I live very near the mitre.
Great pub, really lovely atmosphere created by a lovely couple.
He'll be missed in the town.

Re: RIP Keith
Just wanted to say on behalf of the family (I am Keith's eldest son James) that we have been bowled over by the reaction of fellow Hammers, pub regulars, locals and all manner of people he met during his life. It's been an enormous shock to us, especially as he passed away relatively young, at 59.
Having not experienced this kind of sudden loss before, I can say that the thoughts and good wishes of others have made a massive difference to us and I would thank each and every person who has made the effort.
The funeral is taking place at Crownhill Crematorium, Milton Keynes on Friday 3rd June at 10am. All are welcome and there will be a suitable send off at the Mitre afterwards.
Thanks again
James
