The Dolan twins played for Billericay as kids. Fond memories. Few years later saw him score under the lights. I was desperate for him to make it at our place.

RIP

Awful news. I too remember the Sunderland game as well as Eamonn scoring in a 3-2 defeat at home to west brom the same season I think.
Very sad news and far, far too young.

RIP. Far too young. I remember his being one of the West Ham posters on my wall when I was about 9.

For those too young to remember him:

Very sad news.
I suppose if there's any slight crumb of comfort it's that he overcame his illness as a young man and still made his way in the game.
For all that, too young, too cruel, too sad.
RIP Eamon

RIP Eamonn. Yeah those two goals v Sunderland and the "little jig" celebration in front of the North Bank. That game brings back memories of one of the greatest UP goals. The drop kick by Parksie, headed on by Eamonn and Stuart Slater took it on his chest and volleyed it in. Didn't touch the ground from the time it left Parksie 'til it hit the net! :crest:

That Sunderland 5-0 game was a great night under the lights. You could see what it meant to him to score those 2 goals, the complete opposite of someone like Balotelli. He might not have had the talent of some others at the club but he never gave less than everything. RIP. 48, way too young.

I remember him as being like a fan on the pitch. Gotta love that.

Rest easy Eamonn.

Terrible news.

I was at both the West Brom game and the Sunderland thrashing back in 1989 and thought he'd cracked it into the first team only to be let go a while later.

48 is way too young to be taken. Cancer you b*stard.

RIP.

Horrible, horrible news.

RIP Eamonn. No age to die and he'll always be remembered for a hell of brave fight and for that one special night on the Chicken Run (I'm sure the rest of you boys were fine elsewhere :) ) watching you being part of a beautiful performance and scoring two very cool goals n keeping with the night.
