£279 + £40 for Mario Kart (down from £45 for a second-hand copy in your previous post) + cost of Zelda.

How far am I off £400?

I paid £37 for mario.. CEX wanted £45 second hand.. tesco £42 brand new but £5 off if you spent over £40

zelda is £48 in tesco

£90 for 2 games
£279 for the console

£369 total so £31 off

however many ways to save

tesco you could buy the console and get £25 off so would take it to £254 then £37 mario and £43 zelda ordering them with £5 off each

total then would be £334

have to look at it that this isnt a gameboy or a wii

this is both in one so can play as your main console and a hand portable

I have owned

N64
Xbox
PS3
PS4

I would say this is the most clever and the most enjoyable console I have owned to date

Like all Nintendo products the original hype will soon wear off and it will fade away to eventually be forgotten about

I don't think it's true either - the Wii U was definitely a flop but the Switch is doing well. Zelda works incredibly on a Cartridge, it isn't cut down at all and starts up immediately where you left off. Mario Kart looks better than the Wii U version, and the new Mario Odyssey Game is only a month away. And there's Minecraft too, I've got 3 teenage kids, the £15 I spent on it has paid for itself 10 times over. It isn't cheap, but the new iphone is apparently going to cost a grand!

I was slow to be convinced after feeling let down with the Wii U console.

But now I own the Switch I can only see it getting more and more popular. They are still not simple to buy due to selling out as soon as they are in stores so thats a good indicator.
It outsold the PS4 and XBOX ONE in the USA this summer too.

Anyway its all about the games on any machine right?

So I must throw my hat in the ring and say I am addicted to Mario + Rabbids, truly the sleeper hit of the year.
Its like XCOM with Mario, Luigi and Peach, very challenging too to get perfect on each level.
Got that Mario Cuteness/Comedy going on too.
Enjoyed it more than Zelda and Mario Kart so far.

Mario Odyssey will surely win Xmas in alot of households I reckon.

I agree, Since launch I love my Switch, and everyone in work love theirs too. We have a lot of lunch time races on Mario Kart and everyone loves to idea of playing games like Skyrim, Stardew Valley and Mario on the go.

When the virtual console launches this system is really going to kick into gear.

Fifa 18 will be huge for this console

Has FUT so is full Fifa

Can play on the go.. that's above your average console for Fifa addicts. I got a pro controller for at home.. but apparently you can use the little controllers so 2 player on break at work.. that's going to be epic

My children are getting a Switch for Christmas. It's actually in the garage at the moment.

Now should I open it all up and have a play to make sure it works ok?

No, it's good to go. It's not like the original ps4 which needed 1/2 a day download before it would start

Anyone got FIFA yet?

It's on my purchase list for this month.

My mate's got it, plays really well apparently. But has been slated in 2-player Joycon mode.

Worth buying a pro controller perhaps?

got it mate.. havent tried 2 player joy con mode but i play single player all the time

I use either the console itself with the controller attached

or I use my pro controller (on the subject of them.. just buy it! its like an xbox controller)

graphics when its on TV for me looks as good as my PS4 did.. now I dont have the ps4 anymore so I cant compare side by side but a blind test looks the same and for me thats all that matters

with the controller its just like playing the same as before

perfect

best purchase ive made

Super Mario Odyssey is (predictably) magnificent! Haven't played it a huge amount as the Switch was passed from son to son all weekend without me getting a look in, but it's great fun, and incredibly imaginative
