Re: Your Tune of the Day
In the sixth form in Chelmsford, late 1980s, Parrot Records was the only place to be. The indie shelves were full of exotic sounding bands like Jesus Couldn't Drum, who you couldn't risk your pocket money on, in case they were crap.
They weren't:
They also released an album with the best title ever: "Er, Something About Cows"

Re: Your Tune of the Day
I’d never consciously listened to The Saints before and in all the biographies and documentaries of 70s music that I’ve watched/read, they’d never popped up on my radar.
However, my musical education continued today - good 70s punk/rock that had me thinking of The Damned/Stooges/Ramones.

Jim knows. "They wore the wrong shaped trousers and had too long hair.....this is punk rock as it should be...."
