Don't think I've ever listened to Spinal Tap, vaguely remember seeing the film, or part thereof. I've just watched said track on the tube (with Elton John). I can see a visual connection but it leaves a little to be desired lyrically by comparison.

Not seen the 'latest' one, but meant the 40-odd year old one. The doom riff with the echoey voice dishing out 'profundities'. There was a lot of that about back in the day and that's what 'Tap' targeted. **** me, hark at Peter Gabriel mashing up the Book of Revelation on Supper's Ready (which remains a favourite of mine!).
I did like that Rush track honist, but maybe very much 'of its time'.

...and so is this, but I'm hoping to see him in November!
