Tevez ? How you can mention him in the same light as them two is beyond me. We were always punching above our weight with him and he saved our arses from relegation against Man Utd in the 2006/07 season. That for me gives him a bye - and I think a lot of people would agree with me.

Brilliant at times with periods of ' Meh ' , all important to West Ham United at one time or another .

No he didn’t. Twelve years on and West Ham fans are still spouting this nonsesne.

Yes,mate.(GCRO)

Identifying with us when he was a Manure player? Priceless.

.. and this is just the icing on the cake for me. The status of "legend" was just rubber-stamped with the protest march, led by that bitter twat.

Why are you letting facts get in the way of a good story ?

I'll never forget his first game with Man Utd at UP and he came over to the West Ham end and gave us a crossed hammers (he didn't make his piss though which was disappointing). He'd been playing out of his skin since he'd signed for them but against us he went missing. The optimist in me hopes he did that out of his love for West Ham.

According to Simon Jordan on TS, we bought him for 20, sold him for 22, would have been valued on the balance sheet at around 8, and therefore we got rid of a problem for a 14 mill profit. Pretty good.[/quote]

This does depend on the valuation method used for footballers in final accounts, businesses would normally revalue any assets if their value was significantly different to their book value-this is to make sure that the accounts show a fair value of each assets worth. This is frequently the case with land and property where valuations can be volatile but can be applied to any long term asset. Obviously player values would be difficult to calculate but I would argue that the "fair value" of Marco would be higher than £22 million (especially as he signed that contract extension in January).

This is all a paper exercise though and ignores the most important financial aspect-cashflow. In that context the money raised appears to have got us Haller, sounds like a win to me :scarfer:

Sorry, but Tevez is a player a step above of Arnie...

Arnie was not even first striker choice for Austria.

"El Apache" was it... and he played for Boca...

He has won a CL, 3 Premier, 2 Copa Libertadores, 2 Serie A, a Copa Sudamericena ( = Europa League of above there), a Coppa Italia, an Incontinental Cuo... C´mon... :D

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Tevez

Ok, maybe seen at the West Ham level... but even there...

He had his chance, had a hissy fit and turned his back on West Ham.

No thanks. He'd only do it again.

Was supposedly the highest earner in the league with approx 400' a week. Around £20M per year?
He's been three.

I would.

He also has two other brazillians in the team, and Arnie. :D

I miss him. Great player. I may be going soft in my old age or just suffering the effects of being separated from football but part of me would welcome him back.

Still think ince is a slag though

On the one hand he worked his ticket and stabbed us in the back.

On the other, he would certainly improve our forward line no end. If he is available for cheap or free, then it makes sense to bring him in, especially as he would be playing under a manager he likes.
