A rumoured Euro 100k per week for 3 years is hardly a great sacrifice, given his contract was up at the end of the season.

didn't know that - should have googled...

but probably he's more comfortable in a Spanish speaking country now he has/is going to have a nipper and perhaps wants the kid growing up speaking Spanish and in a Spanish culture.

purely guesswork on my part.

still could have stayed here, got his extra wedge, got a loyalty bonus at the end of his contract - loses that (I think) by asking for a transfer request. and no matter who they are, footballers are hardly a "impoverished" society in the PL now are they ?

from the ITK's on here he never had a bad word to say about being 3rd choice etc.

Those pesky Man City owners, doing the fans an injustice by only having two strikers.

I understand the quality difference in the players is vast but three strikers, especially one on the money Hernandez was on to be on the bench is unnecessary.

Is the pay cut net or gross? How much are his appearance / goal bonuses?, how much was his signing on fee? Will he get paid if he has a bug, he had quite a few sickness bugs while he was with us
