Re: Declan Rice
Obviously with Noble now retired, Rice is obvious choice as a club captain. But, without him committing himself to the club long term, should the club start to think about who it might want as long term captain / club captain. I love Rice by the way.

Re: Declan Rice
He is 100% correct not to commit to us until he knows whether we are actually going to do our best to kick on or if we do what we always do and penny pinch and slide away

Re: Declan Rice
I think we all know the answer to that one, - penny pinch and slide away. After all, why break the habit of a lifetime?

Re: Declan Rice
I think Moyes already does that in some ways with regards to the signings he makes. And I think that’s why the character of the player he signs is just as important. He never wants to be short of ‘leaders’ in his squad.
Soucek, Coufal and Bowen all have the right character. And up until a certain incident you could have thrown Zouma into the mix.
Even some of the younger players, such as Johnson and Coventry who had a good pre-season last summer have all captained teams in the Academy. Hasn’t Ashby too?

Re: Declan Rice
Chelsea could help persuade their former youth-team player Declan Rice, 23, to return to the club from West Ham by offering the England midfielder his favourite number 41 shirt. (Express)

Re: Declan Rice
Not necessarily with Chelsea and possibly with West Ham. But wherever he wants to win things.

Re: Declan Rice
I had a feeling this would appear on here. The audio clips have been spliced out of the Gary Neville Overlap video on YouTube.
It is about as fake as you can possibly imagine and we'll have to listen to fans losing their **** for ages now.

Re: Declan Rice
Chelsea fans are proper strange aren’t they.
Imagine actually being that person who went to the effort of editing and splicing all those clips out of context.
Bad enough if that’s a silly kid doing it. If that’s a grown man… christ

West Ham will try to lure Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount by offering to let him sit next to his former Chelsea team mate Declan Rice on the team bus.
