There is also no way that Arsenal will announce the signing of Rice by Friday.

City, Utd and one or two more haven't fully shown their hand yet and probably won't do so for weeks

I’d like to think they don’t have weeks. We don’t need a protracted transfer sage dragging late into the summer, delaying getting replacements.

If Rice is ****ing off, then it needs to be done by the end of June.

I agree. We need sufficient time to come up.with some anti Rice chants and songs.

That attention seeking tweeter West Ham Central has just tweeted ‘breaking news’ that Rice is on the verge of competing a deal to join Bayern Munich, apparently quoting some overseas journalist. Not sure how something like that could be done before our final!

EDIT: it’s an old tweet from yesterday. And presumably he’s on the wind up. He has form for being a dick :newharry:

Something like:

“No more cups, no more cups, Declan Rice,
No more cups, no more cups at Arsenal…”

He's been baiting Arsenal fans for days, it's pretty funny how much they're all biting.

Doesn't make them fact.
Jim White (notorious Sullivan mouthpiece), Sky Sports News and the Evening Standard are all good enough sources for me. If the Club decide to then do different, then that's a different matter but that's the information that's been passed on them to say. Wait and see what the outcome is.

Incidentally, even if Sullivan spoke out live on camera himself and said "Declan Rice can leave for £120m or he stays as part of a gentleman's agreement", people understandably still wouldn't believe him because of lies he has said in the past. I personally choose to believe it this time because of how they've dealt with Rice up to this point. You're welcome to believe it's all arse plucked numbers though.

FwIW I don't think Gundogan will end up at Arsneal but it isn't that odd a suggestion, esp if Man City win champions League so he has got that medal in his cabinet

He obviously fancies a change of scenery at 33 and there are possible reasons why Arsenql might appeal IMHO

- if he wants to live in London which is q big draw for many . We know he is very proud of Turkish roots so might want to be part of that huge community in London with his family
- he is close to Mesut Ozil who still lives in London and has connection to Arsenal
- he might relish the new challenge of being an experienced leader to guide and develop the young Arsenal side
- he may have a close relationship with Arteta from Man City
- Arsenal were successfuk when he was growing up so he may have affiliation with them from his childhood

Of course, none of these may apply and he has no interest in Arsenal, but it is feasible he might be interested IMHO

There's no way he'll be going anywhere for £70m.

I agree.

I also doubt we will receive a bid significantly higher than that.

Bonkers that people are sad enough to mock up graphics of players in their team's kit.
