Up at 04:45 with diarrhoea.. over the day, went 7 or 8 more times.. so couldn't go to my mum's window or go back over to my sister's.
Then heard us lose on the radio..
Happy Boxing day!
If ever there was a post unsuitable for 'liking'.

That's a miserable boxing day in anyones terms Samba, hope your'e on the mend

Shut up you tart :winker:

Well said. To create a space online free of judgment and masculine BS takes some going, but we have diamonds on here who have kept this thread true to its spirit. In an age of petty political squabbles and social media driven hatred, that's very rare. I don't want to agree or disagree with anyone on here about their opinions and then pigeon hole them on that basis. It's not about who you vote for, what you eat, what you wear, where you come from etc....it's about character. Virtues of character. Some pertinent examples...

DL's bravery
Mushy's patience
Samba's positivity
TOMOS's wit

Everyone on here is not just a credit to KUMB and West Ham, but to the whole blooming human race. As 'geezers', we may wince when hearing the words kindness, empathy, patience and the like, but at the end of the day, I think these virtues of character are the building blocks of a meaningful and well lived life. Everything else is just ad hoc noise which can distract and arbitrarily pull us apart from each other.

I've posted less on here this year, but you all give me hope and the resilience and kindness you all show is inspiring. Thank you.

Well, the whole of Boxing day was literally, sh*t.. but, I had a last pebble dashing, late last night & haven't been since.
Today (27th) felt much better.
First I blamed the care home Xmas dinner (as if they would risk giving their residents, food poisoning), then, just for a laugh, my sister's Xmas dinner.. then today, I remembered something..
Christmas Eve, I'd eaten a chicken korma, ready meal. Nothing wrong with that of course, except it was 'use by', the 15th of December..
That's me all over; can sort of get my head around the creation of the Universe but can't consider that heating up & eating a ready meal that was 9 days out of date, might not be the wisest of decisions..
So today, was able to go to mum's window again, this time watching the second half of, 'West Side Story'. What a film. Seen it properly once before but it really is a 5* movie, completely based of course on, 'Romeo & Juliet'. Definitely not a 'feel good' movie..

oh man I LOVE Stilton. with Jacob's Cream Crackers. and a drop of port.

sadly don't think any are available here.

there's a nice cheese shop I go to (yes a "cheese shop") who do loads of varieties from Loja which is about 80 miles from here. I might give their blue cheese a go for NYD. their other stuff I've tried is pretty good. not great but pretty good.

I'll report back.

bit off topic, but it could help my mental health getting a nice blue cheese of some description.

If you've got the two bob bits, then copious amounts of natural bio yoghurt won't go amiss. But must be the one with the bacteria in it Plus make sure you are drinking plenty of water.

If you can get your hands on some psyllium husk that also does a good job of hardening things up

You were lucky that a 9 day out of date pre-prepared chicken dinner only gave you the sh*ts for a couple of days - must remember that one next time I'm up for a Colonoscopy .

These visits to the Care Home are getting more and more Drive In Movie by the day .

Curse Of the Were-Rabbit is showing this afternoon , take the car and some popcorn - I expect a critique on my desk first thing tomorrow morning .

Do you think all these lovely ladies are merely a figment of an overactive imagination then ? :( I'd be disappointed if that were the case .
