Had to buy a new laptop so picked up Morrowind too. Played for a few hours earlier but really have no idea what I'm doing yet

If it's any comfort MH, three months in and I'm still largely clueless.

Well I'm bereft of a game and you guys sold this game to me. I went to down load it and found it was SIXTY FIVE QUID!! (for the PC - and my PC will just about run it.)
Nope not happening I am afraid.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
Starting to get a bit bored with my Fifa Ultimate Team and CoD WW2 rotation..
I bought ESO a few years ago but never played it, despite logging hours on Oblivion and Skyrim PS3 back in the day.. I'm a huge fan but just never got round to it. So, my question is..
How good is ESO? Is it worth playing over a re-play of Skyrim? I've got the PS4 version now (still unopened!) and I'm tempted to go through it again
If I do play ESO, is Morrowind a must?
I want to get really involved in something between now and the release of RDR2 in the spring.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
No prob MH.
Since posting I have done some googling.
Think I'll go back to Skyrim for the timebeing - I know it (and love it) and I'm not really an MMO kinda guy.
Played around 150-200hrs on the PS3 version so think I will start again with a different character and see how I get on.
Also found out that they haven't even begun development of ESVI yet. Looking like next-gen... 2020/1 I reckon

Re: Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
Re Skyrim Jeff, I've not touched the PvP aspect of ESO so for all intents and purposes this is essentially ES6. I'm told it has about 250 hours of solo play content - all I can say is that I've been playing solo content exclusively since October (a la Skyrim) and have barely scraped the surface.
I think I paid £14 for the Morrowind version (that also contains the base ESO game). I also pay £10 per month subs (thought you really don't have to, it just makes the game/handling inventory a darn sight easier).

Re: Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
Every time I think I am getting to a point where I have completed it, it opens whole new sections. the levelling is great, there are no walkover battles. Like UTJ I haven't done the PvP option, but have worked with other players to complete a quest.
The skills system is a bit difficult and it takes a few battles to figure out a good combination. I exclusively use a bow and soul siphon magic.
Really good NPC interactions, especially Caldwell.
I am now in the Rift.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
Likewise, PVP doesn't really interest me, I'm happily wandering around doing quests and enjoying the scenery. I've just left my starting zone of Vvardenfell and started questing in Stormwarden.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
Have spent the last few days working through the (solo) Thieves Guild quest line. Lots of sneaking around involved.
If anyone else is on PS4, I'm up for a bit of group action

Currently downloading vanilla ESO to give it a try. Got a bit burnt out with MMOs after The Secret World, but hoping this offers a bit of escapism (over the summer transfer window ).

Re: Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind
This ought to come with a warning. Since I started, I've lost my life. An expansion coming soon as well. I haven't spent so much time gaming since the old Football Manager.
