FWIW, pork tenderloins are still pretty cheap at the mo. That was a smashing Sunday supper.

Plus there’s a whole second one, ready for lunches tomorrow. Reckon the whole thing came in under a tenner, including roast spuds & steamed cabbage.

I had a hard boiled egg. I had, however just been to the dentist after having some serious treatment and couldn't eat anything else

Breakfast - bacon, fried egg, toasted soda bread, red onion & tomato’s cooked off with some sugar & balsamic vinegar.
Supper - chargrilled lamb neck fillet with haloumi, salad, Syrian humous & wraps.

I had an ordered in Kebab
But got family round on Sunday so today have made, base for veggie lasagne, A ragu sans onion and garlic (for the pussy son-in-law) , and my tuscan ragu, went for a nine hour cook , its a thing of beauty

Home made, "Great British Spring vegetable Stew."
Parsnips, Turnip, Carrots, Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, Peppers, Onions, red lentils, and TVP.
Par boil all necessary veg, then lump in on top of the onions and garlic that are cooked with paprika and cayenne pepper very slow till golden. Throw in the lentils and cook for a few mins and then add a tin of tomatoes, a tin of baked beans, a stock cube, two large cups of water and salt to taste. Cook for another 5 mins and stick the pot in the oven with a lid on for 30 mins.
The result is a thick rich stew that tastes lovely.
The dish gets its name as I was cooking for my old man last night. If I add "Great British" to the title of any dish, he's more than likely to have some. If I called it Moroccan spiced casserole, he'd probably wouldn't eat it. Parents eh?
