I for one am going to put the negativity aside and say I think this is a great signing. Seen a bit of him and I think he is quality. Before signing for Dortmund he was considered almost top drawer. He didn't have that bad a season. I think we've stolen him for that price with prices as they are

I seem to remember mentioning him on here many years ago, when he first broke into the national side. At that point, I thought he'd end up world class and never entertained the possibility he might play for us one day. It's still a bit of a punt because it's hard to say how easy it will be for him to settle. But the ability is all there.
