Re: Formula1
Said at the end of last season that I was done with F1, so haven't followed any of the pre season testing nor did I see any of the opening race.
Judging by this thread so far, I haven't missed anything.

Re: Formula1
0.1km over the pit lane limit, rules are rules but that must sting, the penalty not being served as someone started work 0.4seconds too soon , again fine margins but rules are rules (unless you are in a Red Bull)

Anyway let’s try and keep it interesting. Here’s some great F1 impressions. The Will Buxton one ****ing killed me.

The Red Bulls setting the pace in practise will surprise no-one, but interesting that the two Aston Martin's are ahead of the Mercs, and Ferrari are behind them all.

Re: Formula1
a friend of mine who works in the industry said (well, confirmed what we all knew anyway) that unless something disastrous happens to Max, he will have walked away with the title by race 8.

Re: Formula1
Just caught a tea time FP2 . I hate this track, these bastards will ignore it until some poor sod get seriously injured or worse. Awful.

Yeah.. the only interesting thing will be, will Perez play ball and allow Max to pass when he catches him up lap 15 or so..Johnny Byrne's Boots wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 7:05 pm At least Red Bull's sponsors will be happy, they'll get some TV exposure this week

Re: Formula1
That wasnt a grid we was expecting. Hopefully the race itself will be an improvement on the last race.
MV is going to have to do well not get involved in midfield battles.
Could be an epic.

Re: Formula1
Max is a second a lap quicker than the field, and probably half a second quicker than his team mate. As long as he doesn't get impatient, or too fiesty, he will still win.
It won't be epic, it will be a display of utter superiority.

Re: Formula1
Out of interest, I've been watching the F2 race. When I tuned in and the leader-board read:
1 - LEC
2 - VER
...I did wonder what was going on!

Re: Formula1
Less talented younger brother, was only first because he rolled the dice on tyre strategy (which ultimately failed) . He’s fast but seems to have one brain cell. Maybe he’ll learn but Martins and Bearman are the two rookies to watch in F2. Pourchaire has to win F2 this year but he’s prone to errors (as many are in F2/3) had a poor weekend after dominating first time out.simon hammer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 1:53 pm Out of interest, I've been watching the F2 race. Not up to speed at all. I liked one of the cars though...Roy Nissany was driving it, lovely colour.wolf359 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 2:19 pm Less talented younger brother, was only first because he rolled the dice on tyre strategy (which ultimately failed) . Only a matter of time before the dutiful Perez rolls over and lets Verstappen tickle his belly
