Safety car! 10 lap(ish) shoot out.

Soft tyres for Carlos and Lewis. Charlie shafted by Ferrari. Perez in the game now.

This is bonkers.

Charlie must be penalised surely. Perez cut the corner and forced Hamilton off later.

Pleased for Carlos, having to deal with Ferrari incompetence and favouritism. Would have loved to see Lewis chasing them down on new hards but the SC denied us.

Mick gets off the mark as well.

We can say that Mercedes’ are getting very close on race pace just need to sort out pit stops and find a bit in qualifying.

Damn!!!

I honestly thought Mick Schumacher was gonna get Max on the last lap.

Those final ten laps were awesome stuff.

He might have done if Max had not pushed him off the road in his usual style (he’s allowed to of course and nothing will happen.)

Today we have seen why Ferrari will not win this drivers championship.

The irony is I hated Ferrari while Schumacher was there because they were horrifically ruthless with a No1 setup.

But now they have gone the other way and are utterly destroying Leclerc's season.

Those final laps were proper. Not often I can criticise Lewis but surprised how Lewis left the door open for Perez.

He's not used to defending from attacks from behind is he?

No investigation necessary for either of Perez’s noted incidents or Verstappen with Mick. Red Bull drivers with a different rule book as per usual.

This is what happens when you go to old fashioned race tracks, you get racing. Give me an entire season of just Silverstone, Spa and Suzuka in rotation than any number of sleb-spotting processions at Monaco, Baku, Yas Marina and the rest.

In other news, I read today (may even have been on here) that new floor rules will be in place from the France GP, so Red Bull and Ferrari won't be allowed to have wobbly flexi floors any more.

Actually, at the safety car I thought they were doing their best to favour Leclerc which could have cost them the win. Luckily Sainz saved them from their own incompetence.

It's why I want Mercedes to get up there, 'cos Ferrari won't challenge RB.

I posted it earlier, has been mentioned for a few weeks in tech circles. Be interesting how much it messes with RB and Ferrari’s balance. Suggestion are red bull were 4-6mm over the allowed flex (2mm is allowed). So the car has been technically illegal the whole season but with no test in place they cannot be punished. You might say it’s clever, doing something wrong you know isn’t checked but they might come a cropper now. However history suggests it will be Ferrari that suffer most.
