Anyone watch the Val Kilmer auto documentary? Recommend it? Or, steer clear?

Just finished watching the Israeli/American thriller series 'Hit & Run' on Netflix. We both enjoyed it and it finished on a cliffhanger. Now I've just found out that Netflix have cancelled it after jut 1 season despite the fact it was pretty well received and reviewed. I'm getting a little fed up with Netflix doing this to be honest. I'm going to do my research next time - I'm not wasting my time anymore with shows that have a single season and an open ending if season 2 hasn't been confirmed.

I watched War Below on Netflix yesterday, whilst "working from home".

Good WW1 film about tunnelers and their quest to dig beneath German lines to blow apart their infantry before the big push.

3/5 for me.

Watched “Don’t Look Up”. It’s been slated in a lot of places but I thought it was brilliant satire. Scarily accurate to how America would be in an apocalyptic scenario.

After Life season 3 hits Netflix on January 14th for those who have seen it. Really lovely series, probably Gervais’ best work.

Thought it was fantastic. Was worrying just how ‘real’ it felt times.

Social media and its ‘metrics’ are the most toxic thing humans have ever created and is a plague on all our houses.

The Lost Daughter earlier today with Olivia Colman.

Not everyone’s cup of tea but once again Colman is fantastic, can see her getting a nomination for the Oscars from this one.

Nine Perfect Strangers - Amazon
Nine stressed city dwellers visit a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation. The resort's director is a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies.

Wasn't sure about this whilst I was watching, don't let the fact it has Melissa McCarthy or Nicole Kidman in it, put you off, there are some very sweet moments, lots of humor, but also some very sad, dark moments too, in the end though, it wasn't actually too bad, and was really quite enjoyable, I don't think many on here will like it, but it's certainly worth a watch, if only for the performances of the brilliant Michael Shannon, and the superb Bobby Cannavale.

Stay Close , Netflix’s latest adaptation of a Harlan Coben story.

Mrs CRS and I sat down last night about 5.30 and put episode 1 on to see if it was any good. It turned out to be very good and we let it run onto episode 2 which drew us in further. To cut a long story short, by the end of the night we’d chewed our way through all 8 episodes. Highly addictive viewing with twists and turns along the way as you’d expect from a Coben story. James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage, Sarah Parrish, Cush Jumbo and Eddie Izzard make up the main characters with Izzard particularly effective.
Well worth watching.

I was into it initially, I like off the wall stuff and the acting is great (Melissa McCarthy a bit of a revelation) but then it started to meander and I got bored of it about half way through. Will probably go back and finish it when I’ve run out of other stuff.
