First two episodes of new Stranger Things.

It seems to be much darker right from the off. Couple of brown trouser moments too!

Loving it.

Just caught the first episode of the new series of the excellent Physical on Apple TV, criminally underrated and one your Mrs will enjoy, too.

Rewatching Stranger Things from the beginning before starting the new season . I'd forgotten loads of key plot lines.. It is rather enjoyable. Did 4 episodes back to back last 'ight.

And as a kid I seem to remember Kate Bush being ridiculed. Didn't Kenny Everett spoof her or is my memory playing tricks on me. So I've never really listened to her. She had quite the voice, didn't she.

She's from Bexleyheath which is where I used to go swimming as a kid & see Billy Bonds with his kids so there's a West Ham connection there too
Kate Bush. Used to fancy her something rotten.
It was Not The Nine o'Clock News that parodied her, with Pamela Stephenson (phworr) in the skimpy gear if I remember correctly.

Just started S1 of Drive to Survive on Netflix.

Absolutely brilliant.

I'd completely gone on F1 over the last few years, but this programme has well and truly sucked me back in.

Was up early (6am) with little one yesterday, and had this on until I went to bed at around 10pm..

Absolutely fantastic stuff.

I think what makes it better for me personally, is that I've been well out of the F1 loop since about 2016, so the drama, and jeopardy was enhanced, as I had no idea what was going to happen at any one time.

The start of the pandemic hitting, was fascinating, and feels like a lifetime ago, I'd forgotten how scary it was during those early days, but the fear was real, even for these multimillionaire sportsmen and their colleagues.

I'm glad you are enjoying it, I've not watched season 4 (skipped most of three). Season 1 was pretty good, but the level of editing (audio from different events, audio spliced together from different quotes etc, to try and create a narrative, crash footage from different crashes - one of Leclerc's crashes is actually a montage of 3 or 4 different crashes and one of them not even him!)

I get it has attracted a lot of people to the sport but for me, it is poorer for it and DTS is one of the reasons for last season and the theft of Hamilton's eight title. It does seem to be running out of steam now though as many of those attracted by it initially now see it for what it is.

Sorry if that sounded a bit 'gatekeeper' I'm all for new people gaining interest but they don't have to lie to do so, the sport has enough about it without creating fake rivalries and twisting narratives.

I'm only joking, mate.

If I was a as into F1 as much as I was a decade ago, I'd probably feel the same way you do.

But I'm a sucker for this type of tv.

I'm watching Hustle on Netflix starring that Adam Sandler bloke about a basketball coach who discovers a Spanish street player & takes him to the NBA.

It's good except when Sandler goes to the Spanish blokes house he tells them "Soccer is horrible" & they say f*** all. I can just imagine a Yank going into any house in Europe & saying that. They'd get slapped & kicked out

Up to date with Stranger Things now. They have managed the unlikely feat of making annoying American teenagers, a conspiracy nut, an overbearing Police chief, a shouty mum and a scientist running a dodgy secret lab, quite endearing and have got me hoping they won't die....

Jolly good stuff.

Agreed, it's taken me completely by surprise. After a mediocre series 3 I thought we were in for more of the same.

*SPOILERS FOR STRANGER THINGS BELOW*

It's been that good that I've been willing to suspend my disbelief over the whole '001 is Vecna' plot, which I thought was absolutely ludicrous and was probably the writers trying to be too clever in tying both Eleven's and the main posse's stories together.
What's impressed me most is that all three main stories have been equally compelling, particularly Hopper and Jaqen H'ghar's sci-fi gulag story which I thought was going to be a real slog.

Finally finished Ozark.

Not my preferred ending, but it was still fitting I suppose.

It was a ludicrous yet entertaining drama that was easily one of Netflix's best IMO.
